We continue our look at a few films that you may have not realized were based on the things we love so much, Comic Books!

Time Cop

Time Cop is a film based on "Time Cop", a serial written by Mark Verheiden and drawn by Phil Hester and Chris Warner which appeared in the series Dark Horse Comics, published by Dark Horse Comics.

The Mask

The film is a crime fantasy comedy film based on a series of comic books published by Dark Horse Comics. This film was directed by Chuck Russell, and produced by Dark Horse Entertainment and New Line Cinema, and originally released to movie theatres on July 29, 1994.

Road to Perdition

The film is an American period drama directed by Sam Mendes. The screenplay was adapted by David Self, from the graphic novel of the same name by Max Allan Collins. The film stars Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Jude Law, and Daniel Craig. The plot, taking place during the Great Depression, follows a mob enforcer and his son as they seek vengeance against a mobster who murdered the rest of their family.

And there you have it! Hopefully I provided some information that you may not have known and most importantly maybe some of you will seek out some of these comics and read them.

Hopefully it will open up doors to comics that you may not have otherwise ever thought about and will give comics other than "Super-Hero" comics a try.
