The season finale of Ms. Marvel hit Disney+ last week, and the episode saw Kamala Khan ditch her homemade superhero outfit for a far more snazzy-looking costume.
Now, Marvel Studios artist Karla Ortiz has taken to Twitter to share some early, unused costume designs.
The artwork was created before Iman Vellani was cast in the lead role (which is why this take on Kamala looks nothing like her), but these designs aren't a million miles away from the suit that was ultimately used for the show. The first one does have shoulder pads and a different pattern on the skirt, however.
The finale's post-credits scene directly set-up Ms. Marvel's return in next year's The Marvels, so there's a pretty good chance we'll see the young hero don an updates costume when she joins Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) in the MCU sequel.
Check out the alternate designs below, and let us know if you prefer either of them to the suit we saw in the series.
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City," reads the show's updated synopsis. "An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
Ms. Marvel stars Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.
