Are the Ultimate Avengers Animated Movies a Good Starting Point?

Does the story of both those animations pave the way for the live-action movies?

In my collection, I also like to dwell into the animated side of Marvels projects. In fact sometimes, I enjoy them equally if not more than some of the Live Action movies. The Ultimate Avengers movies (If you happen to have seen) sticks in my head (Along with Hulk Vs...). It got me thinking. Could the story lines portrayed in these animated smalls, be used on the big screen?

Of course, things would have to be changed around a tad, but many aspects of those movies and its core story would work hand in hand with whats happening now and what were building up for (Iron Man 2, Thor, Cap, etc). The exceptions are things like Iron Man being recruited into the Avengers. In Ultimate Avengers, we see Stark being initiated after everyone else is recruited, but it seems from the recent events in The Incredible Hulk, Stark is doing most of the recruiting. Although saying that, Stark is cautious of joining Earths Mightiest heroes in both movies. How War Machine would apply, I'm unsure. The difference with his character, is Rhodes doesn't appear in Ultimate Avengers 1 or 2, and instead Stark dons the "War Machine" armor. How would Rhodes come in...as Starks side kick?

As for the other characters, we'll quite obviously see Cap's origin in his own movie, where as in Ultimate Avengers, we see this all unfold along with the Avengers plot. Perhaps flashbacks could be used occasionally. One thing I hope to never see though, is the alien storyline. Maybe going with the Loki controlling the Hulk (Which would be a mixture of both The Ultimate Avengers & Hulk Vs Thor), would work well, and would incorporate those great story arcs.

Hulk, as seen in both animation and live action, is crazy as ever. Perhaps "Hulk going crazy" at the Avengers even after Loki has lost his grip over Banners mind, could also spell more disaster for our heroes, hence leading to a climatic battle like none we've ever seen (but awesome).

Anyways, have fun and discuss!

eEh... it's ok.
I mean frankly a self-organizing team is not entirely unbelievable either. I would like to think that Earth's mightiest heroes wouldn't necessarily require SHIELD to party up if a situation demanded that they work together.

But it makes sense the other way too, of course. Either way would work.

i think the story of the Ultimates comic (which is pretty much what this animated movie was) with the characterizations from the 616 universe is the best way to go for a live action movie.
