Disney Animation's Big Hero 6 was a box office hit, but for whatever reason, we’re getting a sequel in the form of a Disney XD TV series rather than a movie. Now, a teaser has been released which confirms that it will premiere this Fall, and while it doesn't reveal an awful lot about what to expect, we know that the show will pick up immediately where the team’s big screen debut wrapped up back in 2014.
Reuniting tech expert Hiro with Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Fred, Go Go, and the loveable Baymax, the group will apparently face, "daunting academic challenges and the social trials of being the little man on campus. Off campus, the stakes are raised for the high-tech heroes as they must protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains." It should be fun, but why aren't we getting a movie?
Well, there’s actually nothing to say that Big Hero 6 couldn’t return to the big screen of course, but the decision to bring the characters to TV seemingly points to that not being a huge priority for Disney.
