French filmmaker Alex Aja's Cobra: The Space Pirate artwork was published on the front page of Variety's international edition magazine to raise some interest at this years Cannes Film Festival for the Sci-fi feature film.
Aja who's been behind such movie projects as Piranha 3D, High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes acquired the rights last summer and is jointly writing the script with Gregory Levasseur, who's also producing.
Info on the Manga movie at present is Cobra is a eponymous rogue space pirate, a man who has surgically altered his own face and erases his memory to hide from his enemies. Cobra slowly then regains his memories and unites with his old partner Lady Armaroid and his spaceship Tortuga. Together both go on an action space adventure to recover the lost treasure on Mars.
