New GHOST IN THE SHELL Trailer Reveals Steve Aoki's Remix Of The Classic Theme And Some New Footage

A brand new trailer for Ghost In The Shell highlights Steve Aoki's remix of the iconic theme by Kenji Kawai, and features some exciting new footage of the Major (Scarlett Johansson) in action.

In the 1995 Ghost In The Shell anime, Kenji Kawai created a theme that has become almost synonymous with the property. And, ahead of the property's live action debut later this month, Paramount has released a new trailer which features a remix of that iconic theme done by Steve Aoki. If you are familiar with Aoki, you've probably already guessed that it is quite different from the original.

Aside from showcasing the reworked theme, the trailer also features some new snippets of footage, including more brief moments of Scarlett Johansson i
n action as The Major.


Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.


The Ruper Sanders directed film also stars also stars Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, “Beat” Takeshi Kitano, Michael Wincott, and Pilou Asbæk, and is set for release on March 31, 2017.

This movie may be good, but I have my doubts, this is the same guy who directed Snow White and the huntsman. Which was baaaad. So we'll see how this turns out, one things for sure though, he'll be a lucky man if him and his lead actress have a similar relationship that he did in his last movie if you know what I mean.
