Film adaptation for the Voltron film is long awaited by the fans, but now the whole production has stopped and the previous director Max Makowski is no longer attached to direct the big screen adaptation.

Here are some of the updates regarding the film:

-Despite long-standing legal rumors, the Voltron property belongs solely to World Event Productions.

-WEP is working closely with Atlas Entertainment on the movie’s direction.

-No actors are currently attached.

-Neither the Justin Marks script nor the more recent Jeff Davis rewrite will be the shooting script, the production is officially in "reboot mode".

-The likelihood of young children confusing Voltron with Transformers and/or Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers is something being addressed, it is WEP’s intention that Voltron be distinctive enough to stand out on his own.

Yeah, this one just doesn't seem right for the big screen. Do a kick ass animated feature and release it on DVD and blu-ray.

F**k that, get the five lions on the big screen. With all of the raping of TV shows becoming movies, this one would be welcome with open arms.

Lol blazing sword was the best, every single episode. I'd watch Voltron just to hear someone say "Release the Robeast"

Though I wouldnt put it past Hollywood to do the vehicle version just to increase merchandise.

this was one of my all time faves. and as much as i would like to see it on the big screen hollywood would definately fck it up. i like the idea though of a new animated blue ray dvd. i would buy that, and for more than a dollar.
