Ant-Man and The Wasp is less than one week away from hitting theaters and after a first wave of glowing reviews, the signs are all pointing to the Marvel Studios movie being a hit! In what is actually a first for the studio, a female superhero has top billing and fans are understandably excited to see what Evangeline Lilly does with Hope Van Dyne now she's suiting up and kicking ass as the new Wasp.

It goes without saying that the actress looks stunning here and with her incredibly toned figure, it's hard to imagine anyone else being as ready as she is to bring The Wasp to life on the big screen in what looks to be the summer's sleeper hit.

Evangeline Lilly made a name for herself starring in Lost, a series which spawned a lot of stars, most of whom have sadly vanished in the years since. Lilly, however, has fared much better than her co-stars.
Despite disappearing from our screens for a while, Lilly popped up in Real Steel and was then cast by Edgar Wright in Ant-Man. She considered leaving after his departure but ended up sticking around.
Hope Van Dyne was a newly created character as Hank Pym's daughter and many fans weren't happy that she hadn't been cast as Janet, a founding member of The Avengers and a beloved superhero.
At the end of the movie, she was presented with a suit of her own and in case the title didn't give it away, she'll take on a leading role in Ant-Man and The Wasp when she partners up with Scott Lang.
The sequel looks set to revolve around Hope trying to retrieve her mother from the Quantum Realm and it's been confirmed that at least a couple of years have passed since she lost saw Scott.
That's because he decided to join The Avengers and help Captain America take on Iron Man during the Superhuman Civil War. Needless to say, Hope wasn't best pleased about being left behind.
Lilly has confirmed that she'll have a role to play in Avengers 4 but just how large that will be remains to be seen. With any luck, she won't remain on the sidelines again because she deserves better.
Beyond that, we don't really know what the Marvel Cinematic Universe holds in store for her. A role in a future Avengers movie is a must and it will definitely be interesting seeing if she gets her own spinoff.
Lilly seems to really enjoy playing the character, so expect her to stick around for the long haul. What do you guys hope to see from The Wasp moving forward? Share your thoughts in the usual place.
