SPOILERS: Latest ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Set Photos May Reveal Janet Van Dyne's Final Fate

Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for the original Ant-Man and possibly Ant-Man & The Wasp

A new batch of photos from the set of Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp have been posted online, possibly revealing the fate of the original Wasp, Janet van Dyne. While her daughter Hope van Dyne figures to play a prominent role in the upcoming sequel, there are still plenty of questions surrounding Janet's disappearance into the Quantum Realm.

As we learned through a flashback in Ant-Man, Janet, in an attempt to diffuse a nuclear missile, adjusted her regulator to go sub-atomic. Although she succeeded in saving the day, she was lost in the Quantum Realm - thought to be for good until Hank Pym witnessed the miraculous return of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) from there, though he claimed to have no recollection of what he experienced. While the search for Janet - who will be played by Michelle Pfeiffer in the film - figures to be a big part of the sequel, new set photos may have just spoiled her fate.

Second Warning: This could spoil Ant-Man & The Wasp

Daily Mail has posted some photos from the final days of shooting in Hawaii, and they appear to show Hank and Janet walking along the beach, presumably after she has returned. Aside from the fact that Janet seems to have been rescued, the biggest takeaway is that she has also appeared to have aged - a bit shocking considering it has been explained that in the MCU, time is irrelevant while in the Quantum Realm. Should Janet's silver hair suggest that not be the case, it would appear Hank and everyone else still have much to learn about the Quantum Realm.

We'll find out for sure when Ant-Man and the Wasp, which just wrapped production, hits theaters on July 6, 2018.

Due to the spoiler-y nature of these leaked set photos, you can view them over on Daily Mail.

We already knew the quantum realm didn’t stop aging. Because they cast Michelle Pheiffer to play Janet and not Jessica Beil or someone.

Doctor Strange could us the time stone to probably deage her a bit

If we go from the actor's current ages (Douglas 73, and Pfeiffer 59) then 30 years ago they would have been 43 and 29 respectively. Even at the same age Pfeiffer would be playing 16 years younger.

I feel like itll slow old age, and theyll quickly age her up after she leaves, ie. mid 40s to mid 70s.

Otherwise they could always use CGI to de-age her for a large portion of her scenes
