There's Only ONE Hero In The Marvel Cinematic Universe Who Hasn't Actually Killed Someone

Is the Marvel Cinematic Universe full of killers? Not quite, but one fan has examined every major character and whether they've killed or been complicit in any deaths and only one of them is innocent...

The vast majority of villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are dead and that's because heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor have either directly or indirectly been responsible for their respective deaths. Now, one Redditor has put together a list of everyone who has been killed in the MCU, examining who the killer was and whether they were directly responsible or assisted somehow.

For example, the Guardians of the Galaxy took out Rohan, Black Panther stabbed Erik Killmonger, and every member of Earth's Mightiest Heroes get an assist for The Vision finishing off the evil Ultron.

While some fans have argued that Spider-Man is innocent of dealing any fatal blows, it was his idea to send Ebony Maw flying out of that spaceship and into outer space, so he was definitely complicit. As a result, the only person who hasn't killed anyone or been directly involved in someone's death is said to be Hope Van Dyne, a.k.a. The Wasp, arguably making her the MCU's greatest (innocent?) hero!

But seriously, the character(along with Ant-man) seem so lower tier.

@XBBShank - Whoa....The Wasp is one of the most important characters in the Avengers Universe. She has lead the team numerous times, slept with a few fellow members, and is a founding member. I consider her The Avenger because Iron Man, Ant Man/Giant Man/Goliath, and Thor have left too many times....Captain America has as well but he isn't an original member....and I have a hard time to give much credit to Hulk's membership since he was gone by issue 2 or 3.

Killing Ultron doesn’t count... obviously

@Subtlespammer24 - ultron is a machine. This article is fake news.

@Subtlespammer24 - I gave this thought the other day. The Avengers seem to really care about VIsion's life. But he's a machine as well. Or rather he's an android, but he's much more machine than man. He's actually 0% man. He pretty much an advanced machine.

@Subtlespammer24 - I think Ultron counts as a life form.

Either way, I can’t think of anyone in that fight who didn’t kill someone else. All of the original Avengers killed in the battle of New York, if not before. Wanda kills Proxima Midnight (if we don’t count Crossbones and all the people in that office building), Vision kills Corvus Glaive.

I don’t recall Pietro ever killing anyone... so I guess he’s only got whatever contribution to Ultron’s death on his hands.

@Vigor - It makes perfect sense Scarlet Witch falling in love with Vision. Think about it... if she wanted him to look like Brad Pitt one day, Edris Elba the next... he could. If she wanted him to ahem, change size to fit her needs, ahem... he could. Hell he probably doesn't snore at night or fart. He also does it the right way, every... single... time

Jesus, looking at how picky you have to be to claim everyone else has had a part in killing someone then surely Hope has too

You can't say "Spider-mans idea to kill Maw" and "The avengers having a hand in the creation of vision who killed Ultron" count but NOT Hope training Scott who killed Yellow-Jacket or the fact Darren Cross found out she had been playing him... Clutching at straws

@JakeyChappers - Considering Janet came back from the Quanrum realm, Cross is likely not dead. All kinds of reaching, flawed logic going on here.

@Santanaonfire - Cross is most likely dead, not because he went into the Quantum Realm, but because he lost his regulator and folded into a little ball BEFORE going into the Quantum Realm. If he ain't dead... he at least needs some aspirin.
