Development on Marvel's Ant-Man seemed to be finally taking shape with principal photography scheduled to kick-off next month in Atlanta, Georgia, and with Peyton Reed in the director's chair after Edgar Wright had abruptly exited the project. Now following Adam McKay's last-minute contribution to the film's script, Latino Review reports that Ant-Man is getting yet another rewrite from Gabriel Ferrari and Andrew Barrer. Though it would seem this was another indication of drama surrounding the Marvel Studios production, the source adds that "Ferrari and Barrer were hired as production writers, meaning they will stick around the Atlanta set for the next few months doing script revisions," which is common, apparently. Anyhow, the new writers don't have many writing credits, but their draft for Sabrina The Teenage Witch supposedly impressed Marvel.
In other Ant-Man news, Spider-Man 2's Bill Pope was original the director of photography, but it seems he exited the project after Edgar Wright, whom he's frequently collaboratored with. Just days ago, it appeared that Zombieland cinematographer Michael Bonvillain would serve as Pope's replacement, but he, too, has since been removed from the (sometimes unreliable) IMDB.
