AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Confirmed To Feature AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Tie-In
Many fans credit Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s tie-in episodes to Captain America: The Winter Soldier for saving the series and putting it on the path to becoming a great show, so they'll be excited to learn that Coulson and his team will feel the effects of Avengers: Age of Ultron...
The events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier obviously has a massive impact on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but those tie-in episodes really helped to turn the series around after a pretty weak start. Season two - which has been praised by most fans despite hit and miss ratings - will also tie-in to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe when Avengers: Age of Ultron is released next year. "You should expect something," executive producer Jed Whedon confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "The Avengers is the big tent that all the franchises play under. Obviously, we’re included in that." However, it doesn't sound like the crossover will have quite the same impact as the Captain America sequel did according to fellow executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen. "I don’t think any movie has the potential to impact us in the way that Captain America 2 did, but there will be connections." Do you think we'll see a couple of Ultron's drones make an appearance? Sound off with your thoughts and theories in the usual place.
