AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Reshoots Scheduled To Add More "Kick-Ass" Scenes To The Sequel

According to a new report, Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron has been pencilled in for two weeks of reshoots in the UK next year, and you can find details on both that (sounds like Loki will be involved...) and when Avengers: Infinity War will likely begin production after the jump.

According to Mail Online, the cast of Avengers: Age of Ultron will once again assemble in January for two weeks of reshoots in the UK. The actors asked to make themselves available apparently include Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Scarlett Johansson, and most intriguingly, Tom Hiddleston! Of course, Idris Elba (who plays Heimdall) has already confirmed that both he and Hiddleston will reprise their roles in the sequel much to the annoyance of director Joss Whedon. The site adds that the movie, "needs a bit more kick-ass on an extravagant scale." Also revealed in the report is the fact that the two-part Avengers: Infinity War will apparently shoot back to back (obviously) late next year at Pinewood in the UK, and that hopefully means we'll hear more about who will direct them and some new casting additions throughout 2015. Be sure to stay tuned to CBM as we'll hopefully get some set photos...

If Infinity War part 1 and 2 are released a year apart, how the hell they will explain the movies that will be released in between?

I would understand if it was like Infinity War part 1 launches certain events that we see in solo movies and then solo movies will lead into Infinity War part 2.

Funny thing with Quicksilver, when I thought that X-Men DOFP version will suck in comparison to Avengers 2 one, now me (and most of the fans) think opposite.

I can only judge by the trailer but his quick running isn't anything special.

I'm really done with the over the top, eye blinding, law of physics defying special effects, that they play in slow-mo for greater dramatic effect. If this is another shitfest like Iron Man 3, i'm out.

That'd mean they'd finish shooting about 18 months before release

I'd like more Captain America, please. It'd suck to see him at the same level he was in The Avengers instead of The Winter Soldier. The only central thing he did in The Avengers was pull that red lever.

That's pretty bad for a character like Steve.

Will it be a reach not to expect tIdris Elba in any of the after credit scenes? :-)

@superior Imagine if both BW and Cap are reverted to their shitty Avengers 1 state. Ughhhhhhgghghg

Is it just me who isn't happy that Tom Hiddleston is involved? The priority should be making sure the new characters plus Banner and Hawkeye are properly developed. It is ok if Loki is in Thor's vision or a credits scene, but anymore than that will just be a distraction.

@superior
Agree, the way cap was handled in the avengers was pure sh*t. I really hope Whedon took notes from TWS, and I dont mean just acrobatic Cap I want a badass one that we could see going toe to toe with Iron Man. At least the suit is great (the best one so far)

If that's the case, then I'll have a hard time watching it.

@ALF9001

I hope he took notes from it, too. And I agree, the suit in this one is the best I've seen thus far, but if Cap doesn't get the attention he deserves in this one, then I'll be un-regrettably glad that the Russo Brothers are doing Civil War instead of Whedon, and maybe even The Infinity War movies.

@ManCalledSting

He was useless and replaceable; very unlike the Captain America in the comics.

I think it's a mistake to expect very much in the way of character development in these giant ensemble films. Sure we'll see some Cap/Stark drama, some Bruce/Hulk/BW drama, and I guess Loki is back. There will be at least four new characters in the mix. Plus massive battles and plot exposition. It must be difficult to get any sort of balance among the characters who all need their time in the spotlight.

@the man called sting
He looked ridiculous because of how horrible the suit was, and the action scenes were slow and you could easily see that they were staged. During the Helicarrier attack he had trouble taking down one guy, if he had the Russos treatment he would been taking down every soldier and maybe could have even hit the hulk. He also got his ass easily handled to him by loki. When he saved the prisioners from the chitauri he fought like a p*ssy (jumping behind tha table). He didn't act like a super soldier at all, and he wasn't a Cap that we could see going toe to toe with Iron Man

Also, if the Russos are jumping right into civil war for 2016 release how could they possibly be ready to start two Avengers films before the year is out?

If anyone STILL has an issue with Cap's cheesy Avengers 1 uniform, try watching the movie again and then blame uber-Captain American fanboy Agent Phil Coulson. He helped design it.
