Well, first of all this is my first attempt at an article, so please excuse the mistakes that I will probably make. Second, english is not my first language, this article will go through some thorough re-reading but please, once again, excuse any errors in vocabulary, syntax or style.
That being said, let us get down to business.
I've been working on Avengers Age Of Ultron related artworks ever since the movie was announced in 2013. The artwork I based this theatrical poster on is itself based on one of my early works, that has been featured on this site if I remember correctly, so yes Hollywood is not the only recycling machine out there. I will be linking to all the pieces that led to the theatrical poster at the end of the article so you guys can take a look at the evolution of my work.
The main reason why I decided to turn my V2.0 Age of Ultron artwork into a theatrical one-sheet is Marvel's recent release of what I consider a very underwhelming poster. As much as I liked seeing Captain America front and center for once, I couldn't get over the fact that, once again, neither him nor Iron Man were wearing their masks/helmets and more importantly I felt that the overall composition was extremely busy and all in all awkward.
This is my attempt at a theatrical poster that I hope deals properly with these issues. I updated my "original" artwork slightly, changing a few things here and there to give it a more "realistic" feel but the biggest challenge this time around was to recreate the template of the official poster.
