Marvel's Avengers: Age Of Ultron has undoubtedly been the most highly anticipated film since...well, 2012's The Avengers
I am going to keep this short, simple and to the point. So, let's jump straight into the review.

What I loved so much about The Avengers is that it really made me feel like I was watching a motion comic of sorts. Going into AOU, my biggest fear was "will I get that same feeling, again?"
The short answer is a resounding "Yes".

The cast are all at the top of their game as you would expect. It was nice to see Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye get some decent screentime and development. Paul Bettany's Vision, was amazing. Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson both bring their respective characters to life in a very satisfactory manner. To answer the inevitable "who had the better Quicksilver?", I would say I enjoyed Aaron Taylor-Johnson more. James Spader's Ultron is incredibly fun to watch and draws a very entertaining parrallel to Stark. I will say he is in my top 3 MCU villains.

The action, like the first film, was spectacular. 'Nuff said.

The story flows organically and never feels like it is trying too hard to set up future films. Although, there is plenty of groundwork laid. Ultron's schemes did not seem generic too me at all, it was an interesting spin on your usual megalomaniac end game. Amongst all the chaos, Whedon has somehow managed to give everyone an arc, which is an achievement in itself.

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure

This movie gets 2 boats from me man. Only bad things about this movie is the Hulk CGI and Ultron. What a waste of a character. I lol'd when he pulled a Brainiac and forgot to put a lid on that shit. But then he's evil premise was cool though.

Great to hear man, two questions:
1. How was the score, could you hear the original avengers theme on it?
2. How was cap in it? Was he a man you could see going against Iron man and both physically and in winning the audience in civil war?
Thanks. Cheers

@ALF9001

The score wasn't really memorable to be honest. The original theme is used a couple of times, I believe.
Cap was great. He is definitely running the show. We get a little taste of quarantine come. It is done perfectoy.

Couldnt agree more with your review.

@AFL9001 the score is decent but again is like much of the scores for the MCU. You hear thors theme from part 2 pop up and iron man theme from part 3 as well.

I wish the score was more memorable, when the original theme plays its awesome, but overall the score for me was forgettable at best. Which says a lot because I thought Iron man 3 and Thor tdw osts were fantastic.

Agreed on the whole comic book motion movie thing, it trully feels like a CBM, and I like my Cbms personally to be more dramatic, "darker" if you will. It still had plenty of fun and I overall enjoyed the team dynamics a lot more in this movie.

At the end I believe this surpasses the first Avengers in everyway, the first one was about the magic of seing the heroes come together for the first time, with a satisfactory reason why they would come together. This one explores deeper themes such as what one would need to give up for ultimate peace, or is mankind supposed to play god in some sorts. Where it can go wrong big time, and the consequences of said action effecting everyone else.

I loved this movie, it amps up everything to 11 without forcing itself to do so, sets up future plot points without feeking shoed in just for the sake of it. Sure it has some flaws but the goods outweigh the bad on this very easily. ITS A GREAT WAY to spend your 2 and a half hours, see it definitely in Imax

@Brainiac13

No, he is quite snarky though. Which isn't surprising as he has a bit of Tony in him. He didn't seem goofy at all.

Umm, I would say so? I guess it depends on your stance on violence.

How was Thor in this? Was he given respect or is he still the nerfed punching bag?

I'd say Thor is given respect. He struggles going toe to toe with Ultron a little bit but he doesn't have much trouble with the Ultron bots. As for comedy, Hemsworth nails the moments he has. There's a gag with the Vision and Thor that is absolutely hilarious.
