When Katherine Langford was cast in Avengers: Endgame, fans immediately started speculating about who she might be playing in the film. Kate Bishop and Cassie Lang were names that kept coming up, but she was completely absent from the film, and that left fans seriously confused.

Luckily, things would become clear when a deleted scene was shared to Disney+ revealing that Langford played an adult Morgan Stark in Soul World after Iron Man used the Infinity Gauntlet.

It was a great scene, but one that reportedly confused test audiences. Langford recently opened up about understanding Marvel Studios's decision to cut her scenes, but tells The Hollywood Reporter that Robert Downey Jr. was invaluable to her preparation for the role as they would watch dailies of his scenes with Lexi Rabe, the 5-year-old Morgan Stark, together while shooting.

"Maybe the day before or on set, RDJ [Robert Downey Jr.] had a couple of dailies and we watched a few just for context," the Spontaneous actress reveals. "But, yeah, it was really cool to just be on that set and see a little bit of what had been filmed before the rest of the world saw it."

The only good thing about Langford's scenes being cut from the three-hour epic is that it means she can now be recast in a different role, playing a character with a much larger role in the MCU.

As much as I like this scene is THEORY, echoing Thanos/young Gamora in the soul world, the actual scene was flat and awkward and a good edit imo.

@dragon316 - You really shouldn't have a go at people for using acronyms or abbreviations when your own grammar and punctuation is fecking abysmal.

Weird that people are still talking about this one deleted scene. Not like people ever talked to Shailene Woodley about her MJ scenes

@MasterMix - If we are talking director cuts (directors who deserve it more than Zack) how about Joss's cut of Age Of Ultron, cut out the thor cave scene and, give us the Ultron design Joss wanted and more time on the farm. Ought to be better than the snyder cut.

@dracula - I'd sure like to know the context of this scene

@MasterMix - been a while since i watched it, wasnt that the thor cave scene, considering thaf whole scene was something the studio forced in, id figure he would cut it out of the movie

Good thing they cut it, it would have messed up the pacing of the moment

While I understand why the scene was cut, I do hope Langford is brought back for a bigger role as Morgan Stark. She's awesome and I feel could embody the wit, snark and heart of Tony. Plus it would be cool to see an actual mother-daughter relationship in the MCU between Pepper and her that would very unique to the cinematic universe.

It doesn’t really matter if she was to be recast in a different role because we DIDN’T see her in Endgame....Gemma Chan comes to mind hehe

The scene sucked and was really awkward all around I would’ve liked a way for them to mirror the young Gamora/Thanos scene because it seemed like it was built up with no pay off.

Also, F the Russos for hyping up the soul stone so much only to not really see it do much of anything during the movies

I think the scene wooul've worked a lot better if it was just Lexi Rabi in that scene
