This is the week where one of the most anticipated movies of all time hits theaters worldwide. Fans have been losing sleep with excitement, and I am proud to be one of them. Surprisingly, some markets have already released the film, one of which includes China - a film industry on pace to overtake the United States in the next decade. In the Middle Kingdom, fans have been just as ecstatic about the Avengers finale.

According to industry insiders, Avengers: Endgame has grossed $28+ million during midnight showings out east; three times the $9 million Fate of the Furious grossed in 2017. At the time the Fast franchise's midnight debut was a record for the Middle Kingdom, but Avengers: Endgame has grossed three times that. 

As for audience reactions, Avengers: Endgame has been getting a rave reception from fans in China, with some of the best ratings in the past half-decade. Hopefully the rest of the planet follows suit. 

For the rest of the weekend, the film is projected to pull in $250-300 million at the box office, and some are even projecting higher than that.

@Subtlespammer24 - The folks who know actually are predicting an opening weekend of over $1BILLION worldwide. They realeased it early for other nations. I do not get to see it until our opening here, in Beaumont, Texas. Thursday night, at 6:00pm. I might actually have to get a catheter. But, I also see it on 12:30pm on Friday. So, I can RUN for the bathroom at different times on both days at different times in the film and still not miss all of it. But, I am going to see this film MULTIPLE times in the theaters. I mights actually make a special trip to Houston to see it in IMAX. 22 FREAKING FIKMS, lads and lasses. And, it is FINALLY HERE!!!!!!

And ANY Son of a bitch who intentionally spoils this film to ALL the people who have been building up to this cinematic climax needs to be drawn and quartered, THEN hung from the yardarm!!!!!!!

BASTARDS.

They are already trying SO HARD to spoil this film.

@bropous - Youre from Beaumont man that's cool. I'm from Houston. I have family in Fannett. My cousin is stuck seeing it Friday too.. he said the theater selection out there is horrible.

China Box Office: Early estimates suggest that Avengers: Endgame is going to make $95-100M on opening day, including $28M from midnights. It would help it to get $280M-plus on 5-day debut. WOM is incredible: 9.2/10 on Douban, 9.3/10 on Maoyan, 9.4/10 on Taopiao

This movie should be an absolute box office monster over there.

I said it in another post not long ago. We aren’t ready for what’s to come!! I’ve been out of the theatre for 3 hours and still can’t process what I’ve watched it was unbelievable!!

@AFriendFromWork - I'm not going to spoil anything, and you are entitled to your opinion offcourse, but I feel you are setting people's expectations up way too high. I suspect the general public's views of this movie are going to differ and be more divisive then the critic's funnily enough.


And before anyone accuses me of being a troll, yes this is a new account which I made today as I'm dying to talk about the movie with fans.

@Galaheris - I don’t disagree with you. My expectations were very high going on based on anticipation. I couldn’t sleep last night and I could feel my heart beating super fast when I was watching some key scenes.

People don’t pay too much attention to what I say at the best of times, my above comment shouldn’t be any different

@obarium - me too brother. As much as I want to get back in there, a busy ANZAC day weekend and over-crowded theatres for the next week or 2, I’m going to hold off.

Repeat viewings compared to infinity war may be less. Too emotionally exhausting to go back 6 times like I did for the last one

I am really hoping my audience isn't full of people who want to scream and cheer nonstop to the point of them just drowning out the film's audio and dialogue. Completely ruins going to the movies for me; unless we're talking about nostalgia screenings. I'm as excited as anyone else and have been waiting years for this movie, but in a movie theater full of other people there are rules.
