Does This Possible Easter Egg In The AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Trailer Spell Doom For [SPOILER]?
Some eagle-eyed fans have noticed a potentially major reveal in the latest trailer for Avengers: Infinity War which could point to some bad news for one character, in particular. Hit the jump for details!
Idris Elba has never been particularly well utilised in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and while that sort of changed with Thor: Ragnarok, many fans are hoping that he'll have a large role in Avengers: Infinity War. The actor is, after all, named with the rest of the main cast members on the movie's poster and that surely means Heimdall is going to have something noteworthy to do in the Marvel threequel.
Could that be...dying? We know that Thanos attacks Thor's ship on the hunt for the Space Stone and kills pretty much every Asgardian in the process. This battle will end with The Hulk arriving in Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum and the God of Thunder being discovered by the Guardians of the Galaxy but that leaves the fates of characters like Korg, Meik, and Valkyrie very much up in the air for now.
As for Heimdall, the prevailing fan theory is that he could actually be the Soul Stone but regardless, it definitely appears as if Proxima Midnight has his sword by her feet here. Bear in mind that various Thor toys have also shown the hero with that and it really does seem as if Heimdall will lose that weapon and probably die.
