GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 And AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Will Be Separated By A Shocking Amount Of Time

We've known for a while now that the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, but when the team does return, they're going to look a lot different! In a recent interview with Cinema Blend, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that FOUR YEARS will have passed between the events of Vol. 2 and that massive movie, and that's certainly enough time to really shake things up.

"They will have evolved slightly, in some
recognizable ways," he teased. "But really they'll be the Guardians and dealing with the shit storm they have to deal with." So, the roster probably won't have drastically altered, but it's probably a safe bet to say that they'll have new costumes and the relationship between the characters will have changed. Baby Groot will have probably grown too!

Whether we'll find out what happened to them in that four years remains to be seen, but this pretty much confirms that Thanos is really taking his time collecting those Infinity Stones. What do you think?

Star Lord is balding, Gamora is a mother of two, Drax had laser tattoo removal, Groot is going through teen angst and somebody let Animal Cops: Milky Way get to Rocket.

I'm only kidding.

Or am I?

So....i saw GotG Vol. 2 and...

I liked it!
Really really enjoyed it!
I lowered my expectations and that was the best thing to do!
The first film is really good, no one was expecting something like that, so it's only natural to want more from the second movie, but i never loved Vol 1 as much as...well most of you guys, in fact, i have my fair share of issues with it.
Generally speaking, i mostly agree with what the critics are saying, this movie has its own set of "problems" but in the end, nothing bothered me much. certaintly not as much as that f*cking dance off scene in first film! :p
Not all the humor matched my taste, and you can bet your sweet ass that they doubled down on that!
Drax was the MVP for me, all he does 99% of the time is making puns and cracking jokes, and i laughed 99% of the times, he was sooooo good and funny! XD
Him AND Mantis!
And yeah, she basically served only that purpose, but hey, i'm ok with it! :D
And yes, it's true, there's not much plot at all, but why is that? Well, that's because of the villain's nature!
The plot was already simple, but once they reveal the villain, there's nothing much else to do...
And F*CK THOSE TRAILERS coz they give you the WRONG idea!
I was soooo damn sure that they were going to abuse baby groot and play the "cuteness card" 200% of the time, but they didn't, so bravo!
Rocket, just like Drax, cracks alot of jokes, but he never made me laugh, not.even.once.
The villain isn't patethic (thank goodness) but unfortunately he's "one and done" kinda villain.
Good twist tho, i liked it.
Nebula is lil bit better than the first movie...er...i guess?
They promised that this Vol.2 would have a lot of "feels" it doesn't, there's SOMETHING near the end, but idk, someone said it was a tearjerker and i don't agree, nothing like Logan if you know what i mean. And it's FINE.
I did not like any song they used, nothing made me tap my foot, you know?
So as a whole, maybe it's not better than the first film, but it's better than most Marvel movies.
They could have set something for Infinity War, but nada de nada, that's too bad.
Awesome cameo tho, someone said we'll be seeing some Avengers, but...i didn't see anyone...

Yeah that's pretty much it, or at least what come to my mind.
I'm not good with numbers but for me it's probably a 7 out of 10.

Most of the MCU happens in "real time"....GOTG 2 is one of the exceptions, taking place shortly after 1, which is "2014", Earth time. So yeah, makes sense it'll be four years later, 2018. It'll be really cool to see them interact with the Avengers.

@thewanderer - It actually is. The movie starts in 1988 and flashes forward to "26 years later"
