Karen Gillan recently confirmed that Nebula will return in Avengers: Infinity War, but first up for her is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. There, Nebula looks set to become a member of the team she fought in the first movie, though whether or not she'll stay loyal to Star-Lord and company remains to be seen!

Asked in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter about how the sequel differs to the first instalment, the Scottish actress weighed in on the themes and where exactly we pick up with Nebula.

"I’m so excited for people to see it! I just feel like it’s all of the best elements of the first one, just amplified. It’s even better – it’s funnier, the music’s even better … the second album is a blinder. It’s great. And in the first one everyone was being established. Now that that’s out of the way, you really get to delve into all of their dilemmas and things like that. I think family would really be the main theme of the thing. And my character Nebula is dealing with a whole lot of stuff there – we see a whole new side to her. A much more human side actually, where we understand how truly awful and difficult her daddy issues are."

As for her role in Avengers: Infinity War, Gillan obviously wasn't willing to reveal much but did indicate that the character will have a significant role in the highly anticipated 2018 release. "Yeah, she’s making a cheeky appearance there. I don’t know how much I’m allowed to say, but I’m pretty happy with how much she gets to do." Will she team up with dear old daddy or wield the Infinity Gauntlet?

We'll have to wait and see, but be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Cool. I thought she was good with what she had in GOTG. I'm willing to see more of her.

GotG Vol 3 should feature an all female team: Gamora, Nebula, Mantis, Phyla-Vell and Spectrum, just to show Sony how is done.

@Deonox -

Hopefully the Infinity War trailer is attached at the end of Thor Ragnarok. Imagine seeing Thor Ragnarok happen ending with Thanos getting an infinity gem or two and then to see the Infinity War trailer... it would be completely insane in terms of hype.
