The Avengers wrapped up quite quickly once Loki was defeated, so we never learned how long the God of Mischief was in custody for or where that muzzle came from he was wearing when the God of Thunder used the Tesseract to get the villain back to Asgard. Well, some new photos from the set of Avengers 4 have been revealed and they confirm that we're going to get a flashback to that time.
As you can see by following the link in the Tweet below, Chris Hemsworth's Thor has been spotted in his classic costume alongside a battered looking Tony Stark and a body double for Loki who could be seen wearing that muzzle (which presumably stopped him from being able to cast any spells).
So, why are we revisiting this moment from The Avengers? It has to have something to do with the Tesseract and Loki's promise to get that to Thanos and it wouldn't be at all surprising if the villain made another promise to him to get it to him before heading home. Alternatively, Tony could have taken a sample to experiment with or we may even be getting some time travel shenanigans in this movie!
