Guardians Of The Galaxy Will Be Supporting Players In AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Just how significant a role the Guardians of the Galaxy will have in Avengers: Infinity War remains to be seen, but Chris Pratt has made it clear that Earth's Mightiest Heroes will remain the focus.

We've known for a while now that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be making an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, but just how much screentime they'll be getting hasn't been made clear. However, in an interview with Nerdist to promote the release of Vol. 2, Chris Pratt has explained that while the team will have a key role, they'll be taking a back seat to Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

"We definitely will have a strong presence, but we are playing supporting cast – you know what I mean? We’re there to help them tell an awesome Infinity War story," the actor explained. "But Guardians is cosmic. It is its own special off-shoot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

While many fans would love to see the Guardians have a role as significant as The Avengers, it makes sense that Star-Lord and company will be serving more as backup in the battle against Thanos.

We just have to hope that what screentime they do have is used wisely and that they still end up playing a significant role in proceedings. What do you guys think? Let us know down below.

@chewie - It is. But if anyone is up to the task, it's the Russos. I've probably seen Civil War ten times by now, I still marvel at the efficiency of it all. Just about everyone got their corner of the limelight.

Can't wait, after Vol. 2 offering something so emotionally engaging yet light hearted, i'm here left wanting more of the Guardians rather than the Avengers.

@Deodorant - It wasn't light hearted it was pretty much an SNL skit.

All I really want is for Mantis to stay behind on Earth as an Avenger. Her emphathic abilities would be incredibly useful and entertaining.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Only for REAL fan boys. Who the funk came up with this stuff. That's enough internet for the day I think...

Uh...I thought they were...you know...Avengers too...
In a way, everyone is an Avenger, even DD.
Characters like Black Widow or Hawkeye doesn't have jackshit on the Guardians, so they too can be Avengers.

@Doomsday8888 - what kind of logic is this?
Doomsday8888
Doomsday8888 - 5/2/2017, 3:36 AM
@WakandaManAreU -
Actually...it's very common in comics.
Especially against big threats, the Guardians are like...a faction of the Avengers that fights cosmic enemies.
It's like...idk a symbol, anyone can be an Avenger.
You usually see this kind of logic in DC comics, but whatever, you can apply to Marvel as well.

@Doomsday8888 - Anyone can be an avenger, doesent mean everyone is an avenger.
