Last week, a rumor spread suggesting that filming for Marvel & Joss Whedon's crown jewel
The Avengers was halted due the "shooting script" for 'Nick Fury' actor Samuel L. Jackson being stolen, and that a rewrite was underway. However, the folks at
IGN have received official word from a Marvel Representative, who expectedly has debunked the rumor.
An official Marvel spokeswoman denied that there was any production stoppage and issued the following statement to IGN: "Filming on The Avengers is on schedule and going well."
