"Right now, I'm still pretty tied up with Castle," Nathan Fillion told IGN Movies when asked if he has any interest in reteaming with his close friends Joss Whedon or James Gunn for either of their upcoming Marvel Studios comic book movies, The Avengers 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy. "I have a couple of years of that to go. We're having a great time, we're telling some great stories and we're enjoying it. Joss and James have done so much for me, I'm not the guy that goes knocking at their door and goes, 'Do some more for me!' You know what I mean? They're doing great stuff right now and I'm having a great time right now, so I think that once I wrap up Castle, and we get a little more free time one our hands... [Nods]" As for those rumours about him playing Ant-Man and the like, the actor confirmed that anything we may have heard in the past is simply not true! Of coarse its Castle. Just like how we most likely wont be seeing Jensen Ackles in any superhero movie any time soon. They're too dedicated to their tv shows to do anything else.

he does have the right voice for Jordan, but I'd have to see him in some darker roles before I could say for sure if he'd be good for GL. As for Marvel, he probably would never sign onto a Marvel film because they know how strong the fan base is for him to sign onto a new GL Movie, they'd put a stipulation of No DC movies for a certain amount of time after being in a Marvel film into his contract... However, I could see him as Wonderman or Sentry

He's tied up with "Castle" but he certainly isn't too busy to voice Green Lantern or voice Johnny Worthington in "Monsters University", or even play Hermes in "Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters". Oh Well...

I've seen him when I watched a little Firefly and Castle and thought he would be a good Hal. Then i watched Justice League: Doom and saw this scene:

And I finally understand why he was a fan favorite for Hal all of these years. He would own the role. And he's roughly the same age RDJ was when he played Stark, so age shouldn't be a huge problem. Can't see him playing anyone in the MCU really aside from Ant-Man. Maybe Quartermain. Would've been cool if he played Star-Lord.

I remember Pierce Brosnan couldn't play James Bond this one time because of his "Remington Steele" obligations.
Hugh Laurie is now free from House so he's making "Tomorrowland".
He declined to be in "Robocop".
Michael C. Hall is tied up to Dexter, the only big movie he choose to sign for was "Gamer".
Still no (from my side) for Michael as Daredevil. As much as I like this guy, i wouldn't want to hear Matt speking Dexter voice :(

I think it's funny that people think that these big studios care who people want for a role in a movie. It's more about money, contracts, and the movies producers than who the studios get to play the role. To be honest, Nathan is a cool guy and has done a few decent things but he's not a big name and not a big draw. Not many people really know who he is, so I don't see him getting any roles by either of the major studios for any kind of superhero roles. Just my opinion.

Maybe he can be cast as Ant-man on the SHIELD tv show after he is done with Castle. I don't know much about Ant-man. Does this make sense? This might help the Ant-man movie a little. But I really don't know. I'm just throwing out kooky ideas.

All I want to see him in is new episodes of Firefly resurrected by Netflix. And as we have seen proven now by Arrested Development, the actors don't even have to be available to film at the same time or in the same place.
