Batgirl star Leslie Grace has been sharing new photos from the now cancelled HBO Max movie over the past week or so, and the latest Instagram post from the actress features more behind-the-scenes footage.
Though there are only a few brief glimpses from the Batgirl film in the video, we get a few shots of Barbara Gordon going one-on-one with Firefly (Brendan Fraser). At one point, we see Gotham's other Caped Crusader trap the villain in a brutal looking chokehold.
It doesn't look like Ted Carson is breaking that hold - is there a chance this was the end of the pyromaniacal baddie? We can't imagine Babs flat-out murdering the guy, but we may never get to find out what would have happened next.
It's a shame Grace will probably never get the chance to suit-up as Batgirl again, although we were told that Warner Bros. Pictures Group chiefs Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy had reached out to the In The Heights star and were "entertaining the possibility of having her continue to play Batgirl in a future DC film.”
Of course, with James Gunn and Peter Safran now in charge of DC Studios, any potential deals that may have been struck would likely null and void, anyway.
