Fans have been hoping to see an animated take on Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's acclaimed 2002 storyline for many years, and IGN has now exclusively revealed the first trailer for the next feature-length DC Universe Original Movie, Batman: Hush.

Based on the teaser, it looks like we can expect a fairly faithful adaptation when the animated adventure arrives on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital later this summer.

Batman: Hush centers on a mysterious new villain known only as Hush, who uses a rogues' gallery of villains to destroy Batman’s crime-fighting career as well as Bruce Wayne’s personal life, which has been further complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

Batman: Hush will feature the voice talents of Jason O’Mara as Batman, Jennifer Morrison as Selina Kyle, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Rebecca Romijn as Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson as Lex Luthor, Sean Maher as Nightwing, Bruce Thomas as Jim Gordon, Stuart Allan as Damian Wayne, and James Garrett as Alfred.

In addition, Maury Sterling will play Thomas Elliot, while Jason Spisak will give life to The Joker,

Also, I'm digging supes' costume.

ehhhh, not really feeling it. I appreciate the highly detailed animation of some the shots, but it feels a little...flat, in terms of direction. I miss when DC tried to replicate the artwork of the comic they were adapting with these, the quasi-anime look of their New-52 inspired universe doesn't do it for me.

@Spidey91 - i honestly think they stopped doing it because of the length of time it took to get one done ..... i enjoyed the heavier detail as well

@knocturnalzen10 - I know, I know, but that unified style still is kinda "meh" for me. honestly I like how the Batman vs TMNT movie looks better. it doesn't replicate the artwork from the comic, but it's charmingly cartoony while still stylized.

@Spidey91 - The biggest thing that's giving me pause is Ivy and Catwoman's voices, just not doing it for me.

@LongMayHeReign - yeah, their voice work/choices have kinda taken a dive too in the last few years.

I do kinda wish that they would've adapted the art style of the comic into the animation. I'd love to see Jim Lee's artwork in motion!

@bcom -

His Uncanny X-Men run would be amazing.

Very pleased with how this looks. Jim Lee is my biggest artistic inspiration and HUSH is one of the only DC storylines that I own in full. I actually have the first couple issues signed by Lee from a signing he did, at the home of Free Comic Book Day nonetheless.

I'm glad they returned to a more serious tone after what released today. Can't wait to watch Bats n the Turtles later tonight tho!

Looks alright... I guess. Off topic, but I just saw Batman vs TMNT today.

So much fun. It's an hour long Saturday morning cartoon in the best way possible.

Now give me;
Red Son
Identity Crisis
Blackest Night

And if BvTMNT does well, maybe adapt the Batman/Joker/The Mask book...because that would be amazing.

@PeenWeinersteen - Same here, but I read an interview a while back where they said it would be really difficult to adapt the art style and that they wouldn't want to do it any other way.
