CONFIRMED: Anne Hathaway's Catwoman Goggles Transform Into Cat Ears
A second source confirms that The Dark Knight Rises' Catwoman has cat ears when the goggles are pulled back.
Manny The Movie Guy Speaks:
One of my inside sources who shall remained nameless -- there's an embargo put upon journalists who visited the set, they can't talk about their experience until next year (sucks!).
But my friend talked to me of course, and revealed, that Catwoman's goggles, when pulled back like a headband, will take the form of cat's ears much like the image of Catwoman we all know and loved!
Manny The Movie Guy Speculates:
Imagine the goggles pulled back and it will reveal the pointy cat ears by way of those funky blue lights.
I previously reported, that a source with Hollywood Life had told them:
“Those goggles she has on, they go back on her head like a headband, and they are actually pointy cat ears,”
reveals our Dark Knight source.
There you have it! Initially I was positive that the first source was spot on since he or she was the same source that said the Catwoman costume wouldn't be sexy. They said it would be tactical and have goggles. Since seeing pictures of Anne and her stunt double in the suit we know they were right.
Now having a second source make the same claim puts this to rest. I'm happy that Catwoman will at least have cat ears. And remember Anne told MTV that we've only see a tenth of what that suit can do. Cat ears doesn't make up the rest of that ninety percent that we haven't seen. What else is to come? Will we see a tail? A whip? Claws? What do you guys think is yet to be uncovered about this suit?
By the way I'd love to see one of our artists in the CBM community try to produce a sketch of the goggles transforming into pointy cat ears.
Thanks to Cool Running for the heads up.
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.
