Over the years, Batman has evolved to have a number of clever techniques to protect his secret identity of Bruce Wayne. One of them is the manner in which he speaks while operating a billion-dollar conglomerate versus when he's pummelling dangerous criminals in the wee hours of the night.
As seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, Ben Affleck's caped crusader employed voice-altering tech in his cowl while Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy saw Christian Bale employ a natural, overtly-aggressive growl that most fans ridiculed. So, which tactic will Robert Pattinson use in The Batman?
Speaking to Access Hollywood, the talented actor stated that Willem Dafoe's performance in The Lighthouse and his gravelly voice is actually close to the method he'll use when the Batman reboot hits theaters in 2021.
"Willem's voice in this is quite inspiring for it to be honest. It is pretty similar to the voice I'm gonna do... I think Batman has a sort of pirate-y kind of voice..."
While Pattinson doesn't confirm, it certainly sounds as if we'll be hearing his unaltered voice in the reboot.
The Batman is set for release on June 25, 2021.
