STAR WARS EPISODE IX's Oscar Isaac Suits Up As THE BATMAN In Awesome New Fan-Art

Rumour has it that Oscar Isaac is being eyed for a role in The Batman but if he were to replace Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight, this is what he'd look like as the hero. Check it out after the jump...

In what appears to be a pretty sketchy rumour, we heard yesterday that Oscar Isaac is being eyed for a key role in The Batman. While there's nothing to say he will play the Dark Knight, fans have already started speculating about the possibility that he'll suit up as the Caped Crusader, especially as Ben Affleck's future as the DC Comics character seems highly unlikely given what's happening with him.

While the Star Wars Episode IX actor would be a very different Bruce Wayne, there's no denying that he has what it takes to play Batman and we know Matt Reeves is interested in casting a younger actor (well, that's what the rumour mill claims but we don't actually know for sure either way right now).

With Reeves' screenplay still not finished, we have no real idea what he has in store for The Batman but this amazing fan-art shows what Isaac would look like if he were to don the cape and cowl. It's a very cool piece of artwork and the Arkham trilogy influence here is clear to see. Whether or not the actor will be able to take over the role remains to be seen but we'll be sure to keep you updated.

I really don't think he's being looked at for Bruce Wayne. I'm sure it's a major character, he's a fantastic actor and huge star now, but I just doubt they're looking at him for Batman.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - Agreed, but now I really want him as Batman. He needs to bulk up for sure but he has the look and acting chops.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - Agree, they can't be looking at him for Batman, he's tiny, he'd be the littlest fella to play the character, plus he ain't young, he's greyer than Affleck, though it would be adorable to see him go into battle on Gal Gadots shoulder.

@ARMUS - he might be greyer but hes 7 years younger then Affleck but yeah I don't think he's playing Batman

@ARMUS -
He'd be the only Batman small enough to fit in his own utility belt, that could be interesting.

@BoyWonder - Rumour going around is he's one of a few meeting for the role of Penguin.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - i agree. He’s no Batman but I can see him as a Harvey Dent.

@ARMUS - I can see him play a slimmer version of the Penguin actually or even Black Mask. Just not Batman.

@WruceBayne - I can see him as Dent as well, but damn can we move on from Batman's cliche villains?

Joker is always necessary to be in at least one of the Batman films in a series. But how about something new? Like Black Mask, instead of wasting him in Birds of Prey?

Point is, can we get away from Two-Face, Penguin, Riddler, and Bane and actually do something new for once that we haven't seen in a Bat-Film yet?

@ARMUS - Dude is literally about 5' 5" making him about 1 foot SHORTER than Batfleck. If anyone really thinks that he has a chance to play Batman send them my way. I never thought of becoming a drug dealer, but I could make a FORTUNE selling those people crack as they are clearly smoking it.

If Isaac was to play Bruce/Batman I personally have no problem with that. Keaton surprised the hell out of me when I first say him in the role.

I can’t say I like the suit in the pic but some people have artistic talent.
