5. Pictures from The Dark Knight Rises show Marion Cotillard in her own costume on the same set as Batman, Catwoman and Bane. As much as it pains me to say, I am no fashionista. I know! I know! But this looks more like some sort of bad ass martial arts
(which Talia is most proficient in) gi rather than the wardrobe of a board member at Wayne Enterprises.
I don't remember Rutger Hauer strutting around the office in his robe and slippies is all I'm saying.
Also, isn't she supposedly helping the
"still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors"? So what the hell is she doing hopping in and out of those Tumblers? Arriving to set in style?
Aside from the incriminating pictures that only prove my now multiple points further, lets look at back at Batman Begins and the character of Talia al Ghul.
In the comics, she is the daughter of Ra's al Ghul, the man who trained her in martial arts since birth. In Batman Begins, Ra's trained Bruce Wayne before becoming Batman.
- In the comics, Talia held many positions of authority in her father's organizations, which could only be beneficial when submitting a resume for a job at Wayne Enterprises. Even if she embellished just a little.
- In the comics, Talia is obedient to her father to a fault. After her encounters with Batman, it becomes hard for her to choose, although usually siding with her father in the end.
6. In Batman Begins, Ra's is the appropriate age to have an adult daughter and knows Batman's true identity for sometime before the League of Shadows attack on Gotham. Not to mention the fact that in the films novelization, Ra's writes to Talia during her stay in Switzerland, so she's pretty much caught up to speed by the time Batman's finished with Joker and Two-Face.
Now here's what really prompted me to write up this article.
7. We've known from the beginning we would be seeing flashbacks with the young Ra's al Ghul, played by Josh Pence. But today on IMDB, I noticed tiny actress, Joey King had been cast as 'Young Talia'.
Unless 'Young Talia' bites it for some reason during the flashbacks, I can't see them not introducing her as an adult. It just wouldn't make sense. The stories between she and Batman are too rich to ignore, especially when visiting the origins you know it's going to be kind of a big deal.
To all the naysayers, I want to give you a chance to admit this is plausible! That Christopher Nolan has been working toward an idea that starts and ends with the al Ghul family.
I can feel it in the cockles of my heart.
