It may be one of the worst kept casting secrets as of late, but Warner Bros. has yet to confirm that Jason Momoa will be playing Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as a solo movie, and potentially the Zack Snyder-directed Justice League movie. The actor has also remained tight-lipped about the role, usually giving a "no comment" or explaining why he can't discuss it. However, when Entertainment Weekly asked the Game of Thrones alum if he could finally confirm or deny the casting, Momoa offered: "Well, I'm really excited for [Batman v Superman] to come out in 2016, I’ll tell you that much. I’m really excited to see what is happening in that world."
Not exactly a groundbreaking response, or even a confirmation, but it's great to know Jason Momoa is excited about the DC Cinematic Universe that Warner Bros. is establishing with the Man of Steel follow-up. Especially given he's now a part of that world, whether he admits it or not. Anyhow, with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set to open in two years and Aquaman said to only have a cameo, don't expect Momoa's casting to be confirmed anytime soon. What do you think?
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter. The film, written by Chris Terrio from David S. Goyer's screenplay, and directed by Zack Snyder, hits March 25, 2016!
