Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters globally on November 11, and while many fans continue to wonder who will inherit the Black Panther mantle from T'Challa following Chadwick Boseman's tragic passing, there's a great deal of excitement for Namor the Submariner's MCU debut.
His involvement in this sequel is all but confirmed, with Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta (Narcos: Mexico) expected to fill the role. Rumors of an appearance from the character have swirled since prior to Captain America: The First Avenger's release in 2011, but after a few hints here and there (such as Avengers: Endgame), it's looking like Namor will finally surface this year to take aim at Wakanda.
We're disappointed not to see him clash with T'Challa, but a first look at the Invader, Defender, and X-Man has been revealed courtesy of what appears to be some very blurry concept art.
Leaker @MyTimeToShineH has seemingly confirmed its validity, and it looks like Marvel Studios is adhering to the comics. We don't know if Namor will have wings on his ankles, but we're betting the King of Atlantis is going to have something that at least pays homage to those in some manner. All signs also point to this interpretation of Namor being heavily inspired by Mayan culture.
Hopefully, the trailer is incoming. In the meantime, we'll keep our eyes peeled for any HD promo art!
