BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Merchandise Reveals Ironheart Mark I And A New Costume For Nakia

More Black Panther: Wakanda Forever merchandise has found its way online, this time showcasing Riri Williams' Ironheart Mark I armour and new costumes worn by Shuri, Okoye, and the returning Nakia...

We'd hoped that the first Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer would arrive in time for Thor: Love and Thunder's release in theaters, but it now appears as if it's being saved for Comic-Con next weekend. Hopefully, the footage will shed some light on what to expect, especially as the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman means T'Challa won't be part of this story.

A new Black Panther is expected to be revealed, though who will inherit the mantle is a mystery.

Shuri is a likely choice on the surface, especially as the character ultimately donned the suit in the comic books. Unfortunately, Letitia Wright's divisive opinions shared on social media have made her something of an unpopular choice for the role, with recent rumours suggesting another character will now be chosen to pick up where T'Challa left off.

Could it be Lupita Nyong'o's Nakia?

Some new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever merchandise highlights the sequel's female leads, and T'Challa's old flame is rocking a very cool costume. You'll also notice that Riri Williams is included here, though she's decked out in her Mark I "homemade" Ironheart armour.

Something tells us that will be featured heavily in tie-in material, with her final suit of armour likely saved for the end of the movie or the upcoming Ironheart Disney+ series (we're sure Shuri will lend a helping hand in creating a more advanced version given Wakanda's role in creating Captain America's new suit).

The final Marvel Studios movie of 2022 remains the most intriguing, and we hope to have more to share with you from the Black Panther sequel soon. Promo art recently confirmed that Tenoch Huerta is playing Namor the Submariner, though the character's redesigned costume has proved to be surprisingly controversial among comic book fans.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 11.

I kinda prefer this costume over the original Ironheart costume. I hope that in the series they jump into the second design cause the first one is too derivative.

Glad to see heavy armor again with the Iron Man suits. I miss the pre-nanite days.

I can't wait to see which movie comes out with the most hype after sdcc

Black Adam
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Shazam: Fury of the Gods
Antman & the Wasp:Quantamania

@WakandaTech - I'm just really curious about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, how will they address Black Panther, because most of the post we've seen, there's very little information about the character. We've heard mostly about Riri, Namor, and Shuri.

@WakandaTech - panther for sure!

Black Adam looks kinda average.

Antman 3 probably won't have much hype after how generic number 2 was.

Shazam was good but the 1st one made so little money I doubt it would get anywhere close to the hype BP will get. (all my opinion of course)

The biggest question I have, probably more so than who will take up the mantle, is will this movie gross over a billion at the box office? I know the 1st one deserves every penny and wasn’t a fluke, but with Covid lingering and DS2 and Thor4 not crossing it (too early for Thor, but not looking likely), will this fare better even without Chadwick. Curious for anyones thoughts. Without China’s BO, I’m thinking DS2 numbers, somewhere between 900-950 mil…

@LNBfett12 - probably Shuri since she is next in line for the throne and her family worships Bast.

Looks like this movie will be girl power. As a soon to be father of a little brown skin girl, I'm all for it.

I also really hope somehow the black panther mantle is passed to Nakia. Narratively it makes sense. She doesn't want to be a warrior. She's a spy and activist who loved her country. But she has great fighting prowess as shown in BP1. She's a great actress. Beautiful. And could do a great job taking over as lead.

And maybe this is odd but if she ends up being bisexual, maybe Disney won't be cowards and will allow Nakia and Storm to hook up, and marry 🌩🐈‍⬛

@Vigor - Nakia really is the most logical choice, and the first film sets her up as the only character who's right from beginning of the film.

@Vigor - It'll be PANNED in Africa, the very place where this is "kinda" based on will NOT be happy nor embrace that notion. Plus MOST people are WAY more interested in seeing T'challa with Storm rather than Disney trying to be EDGEY, woke, and different or PANDERING. There's a difference between adding diversity and pandering or forcing a narrative.

That said, the relationship in the comics was between Ayo and Aneka.

Yeah, no. "Most people" have no idea about who comic book characters have dated in comic books, unless that relationship also made it to the big screen.

@Kyos - Anybody who KNOWS about Storm AND Black Panther that haven't even read the comics, but know of them BOTH because of the comics, KNOW that they were together, even if they didn't read it. You don't have to be a comicbook nerd to know about them, even CASUALS know about it. There are casual comic book movie lovers, then there are casual movie goers. The casual comic book movie goer has INCREASED heavily since Avengers 1, Batman, Black Panther, etc.

Even though "CASUAL movie goers" make up more of the MAJORITY of the movie going population. That wouldn't be a reason try and PUSH Storm to be with Nakia, because people DO google stuff before these movies come out, and it WILL be BACKLASH if they were to go in that route.

Casual comic movie goers WILL know about Storm and T'challa even if they didn't read the actual comic books.
