Let me start by saying Marvel Studios ain't playing around at all with this Black Panther movie! So far every bit of news that has come out about this movie has been nothing short of spectacular! Starting from the very beginning with the announcement that Chadwick Boseman will be the lead actor, and add the possibility that Andy Serkis will be the main villain, then you add that the Creed director Ryan Coogler will be running the show and help writing the script along with the brilliant writer Joe Robert Cole, and if that's not awesome enough... the studio has revealed recently that Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, and Danai Gurira will be joining the movies cast. WOW WOW and WOW!!! For a movie that doesn't even start filming until early 2017 that's a whole lot of awesomeness early! Now just when I thought it couldn't possibly get any better...it just did! Via his instagram Chadwick Boseman announced this week that he is training with Martial Arts Master Marrese Crump...DAMN!!!!
For those of you who do not know who Marrese Crump is, just know this, dude here is amongst the top 10 trainers and masters in the whole world. He is an actor, stunt man, and fitness guru also. He teaches various forms of fighting styles, but his true calling card is the art of Capoeira, a Brazilian style of Mixed Martial Arts that was invented and taught by West Africans. I find that so refreshing being that Chadwick Boseman is playing T'Challa an African King and he will be using a fly form of African invented form of Martial Arts...DOPE!!! The name Capoeira derives from the word Tupi which means Jungle. Capoeira's roots originate in Angola and the Congo, this fighting style is a form of dance, acrobats, and agility. Perfect for an actor that played the likes of James Brown wouldn't you say? Capoeira relies on speed allowing a fighter to use his bodies rhythms to attack with explosive kicks and punches at anytime from any angle! Marrese Crump through his social media confirmed his training Chadwick Boseman also. Crump has said several times in the past that he is bringing moves, action scenes and fights to Hollywood that they have never seen before. He has done so before in movies like Warrior King 2, The Man With The Iron Fist, and The Wrong Side of Town etc. But this time he will be doing it through Chadwick Boseman in The Black Panther. The Black Panther Movie will be in theaters Feb. 16. 2018 Thanks for reading, Please leave a comment, God Bless you! -Gab
