As promised, Warner Bros./DC Studios have debuted a second trailer for Blue Beetle, and this extended look at the DC Comics-based superhero movie features plenty of new footage of Jaime Reyes in action as he faces off against Victoria Kord and her powerful henchman Conrad Carapax, aka The Indestructible Man.

Star Xolo Maridueña recently teased some appearances from other DC characters, but there doesn't seem to be any surprises in this teaser. Check it out for yourselves at the link below, and see if you can spot anything we missed.

We recently got confirmation that Blue Beetle will be the first official(?) DCU movie, so, depending on how it performs at the box office, we can expect to see Reyes in the shared universe currently being developed by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

"Recent college grad Jaime Reyes (Xolo Mariduena) returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it," reads the synopsis. "As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab."

"When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armour capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Super Hero Blue Beetle."

The cast also includes Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, Adriana Barraza, Elpidia Carrillo, Damián Alcázar, and Raoul Max Trujillo.

Blue Beetle is set to be released in theaters on August 18, 2023.
