After spending a considerable amount of time as an old geezer, the original Captain America will return with a new shield and a new mission in Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 from the creative team of Nick Spencer and Jesus Saiz.

But what about Sam Wilson? Well, he's not giving up the mantle, or the original shield Rogers presented him with - so It seems there's going to be two Caps in the Marvel Comics Universe for the time being. Find out more by heading over to Marvel.com.

Not liking the outfit. They should have went with his Secret Wars: Civil War outfit or a variation of it. That one was badass.

I guess Steve will be getting his shield back, guys.

The costume would look awesome with a few colouring tweaks here and there. Really not keen on him using that shield though, would much prefer him use the normal one. Still, glad he's back!

Rogers comes back from being "dead" and instead of taking back the shield, he lets Bucky continue. this sounds like the same thing only with Sam instead. yawn

Hmmm..put the wings back on his head, take the brown out of the gloves, AND give STEVE back his SHIELD....then you got a very good costume :)

How is this exactly movie pandering?

@DellRusk

Every time Marvel does something different and interesting, it reverts the second a movie's hype ramps up.

Superior Spider-Man was different, and new, and it was squashed the second TASM2 came out.

Other examples of movie pandering include
-Tony Stark's personality
-The line up of their teams
-The Twins mutant background
-Costumes resembling their movies
-FF getting the shaft.
-"Civil War 2"

And more.

@CaptainWagner

I've never called anything PC pandering. That's done by a lot of nimwits on this site that are afraid of change.

I've supported FalconCap, Miles Morales, and other racebends.

I call it movie pandering because it's exactly that. They change their comic line anytime a movie comes out or has an impact.

Also, no one on this site hates the complaining nature of it's users more than me.

I like to like things. I like change, and I welcome it. I've kept up and read along tons of books even after making huge changes.

I'm currently reading almost powerless Superman and Robo Batman because they're well written. I dont care it's different.

Oh wow. This is so completely unexpected. I never would have seen this coming in a million years. And to think! He returns just as he has a movie coming out... SHOCKING AND TOTALLY NEW!

Suit sucks. Get your shield back, Steve.
HeartCollector9
HeartCollector9 - 1/20/2016, 7:16 AM
Well, it's a step towards fixing things. About half a step. Now to fix Thor and Hulk, and take the characters that are pretending to be them and give them their own identities. Talk about progressive!
Jaxim
Jaxim - 1/20/2016, 7:55 AM
I would still prefer if Steve brandished a gun - even a stun gun. Throwing a shield just doesn't make sense. He's a soldier, let him use a firearm.
DellRusk

@TheGustache

I asked you how is this pandering to the movies?
