Cap's always had a ridiculous costume, particularly if you translate it directly to real life. The purposefully bad USO costume is a brilliant way to deflate peoples expectations about the costume, so that their opinion about his final suit have nowhere to go but up.

In the 1940's and in a USO tour that wouldn't be considered cheesy. Authentic to the period which is what it needs to be. It is for the most part a period film.

This one's great, fits the style of the movie perfectly. Cap's theme is the best one, though. Too bad it's only on the album if you buy it from iTunes.

I remember when we all found out there was going to be a USO scene and we all started writing off this movie. Now we hear the song - and it's cornier than we could have imagined - but we're lapping it up. Marvel rocks.

This is just too cool.....

I'm really glad that they stuck with this big 40's /WW2 angle. It's simply going to make this film different from anything that's come before it.

Now, if they'd have just figured out a way to get the Sub-Mariner to fling Steve's ice block tomb....
