Yesterday, CBM's very own JoshW posted "fantastic" Captain America set images exposing the near-completed construction work in Manchester; Which will act as a 1940s street in Brooklyn, NY, when the cameras roll for a dramatic car chase & explosion this Wednesday.

Now I've come across a few more images via Hobbsy, showing a massive backdrop going up, that'll be placed at the end of the street. And in addition to this, theres a few interesting filming details below, images showing the different varieties of vintage cars (via MarvelMovieNews), and several images of the latest work progress in Manchester, (via Flickr & Manchester blog).

  • The actual action may only take up 40 seconds of screen time, or at most 2-3 minutes
  • I think last Wednesday(?) they were filming sugar glass windows being blown out.
  • wedding shop being fitted with dummys in bridal dresses, in a bicycle shop; weird
  • the manhole covers have been fitted with hoses – authentic rising steam perhaps?
  • the vintage cars stored in the underground car park were being washed/polished
  • The Brooklyn Antiques & Bankside music store are going to have the windows blown out in an explosion.
  • Someone will be thrown through the window of the Bicycle store.

Excellent find DCMF! :) The info you've posted is also extremely interesting...knew there was a reason they built that bicycle shop! :) I'm guessing those backdrops will block our view of filming though unfortunately. And I appreciate the mention bud!

@MightyThor1 It's not like the more we post these set pic articles, the less chance we'll get set pics of the cast. They'll show up when they show up, so these set pics are better than nothing while we wait.

I'm super excited for this movie....and the littlest thing new will get me utterly excited. Especially these very set pics I've posted over the past few weeks.

Someone would be thrown through the window of the bycicle/wedding store?

Why I have that feeling that the store is the front for the underground lab where Steve Rogers goes through the super soldier transformation? He might be throwing out the Nazi/Hydra agent that kills Dr. Erskine. And the chace starts right there, following the supects or something.

very nice, but the scene only being 3 minutes max??? !!

The 3 minutes max must be wrong. It's only what I heard, but on reflection they're shooting for 2 whole weeks here and apparently there is an explosion, a car chase and a shootout. The expense the producers have gone to with this set, you would hope Manchester/Brooklyn gets a lot of screen time
