In recent years, we've seen the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers team up with everyone from the Justice League to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Now, the teenage group of heroes are set to embark on their biggest challenge yet in the pages of BOOM! Studios and IDW Publishing's new crossover event series, Godzilla vs. Power Rangers.
The first issue actually arrived in comic book stores yesterday, and it comes our way from the creative team of writer Cullen Bunn and artist Freddie Williams II. However, this one somehow flew under our radar, so we thought you'd appreciate watching the trailer for this epic event series!
"When Rita Repulsa uses an ancient artefact to transport herself to a universe without Power Rangers, she finds herself in a world with aliens, kaiju, and...Godzilla!" reads the description for Godzilla vs. Power Rangers. "Hoping to annihilate this new foe, Rita hurls her own terrible creatures into battle. But she never expects that the Rangers have followed her to this alternate reality, pitting the Dinozords themselves head-to-head with the King of the Monsters!"
Honestly, this sounds awesome, and we cannot wait to see how this story plays out. The response to the first issue has been overwhelmingly positive, and it appears these two worlds colliding has had the crazy, awesome results fans were hoping for (but might still be surprised by).
