With Avengers:Standoff (Written by Nick Spencer) concluding this Wednesday, the event has already returned Steve Rogers to his good ole' super-powered self. But a new teaser released by Marvel teases the return of another hero. The logo included seems to herald the return of Mar-Vell, the original Captain Marvel, who died of cancer in Marvel Comics' first graphic novel way back in 1982.

Several different characters have taken the name since, and it is currently held by Carol Danvers in both her solo title and team book The Ultimates. If indeed it is Mar-Vell returning to life, this would surely hold huge implications for her, as she heads into spearheading the upcoming Civil War II crossover.

No clues have been given towards this mystery in upcoming monthly solicitations, but whoever is making his grand return the Wednesday, it's sure to have major ramifications across the Marvel slate.
