Jim Lee Squashes DC COMICS Rumor That Publisher Is Headed For Another Reboot

Rumors have surfaced online that DC Comics is headed for another line-wide reboot similar to Infinite Crisis and The New 52. Well, the co-Publisher for DC has just succinctly put those rumors to bed.

Without beating around the bush, Bleeding Cool recently ran a piece that proposed that a new "Crisis" event similar to Crisis On Infinite Earths and Final Crisis, was in the works at DC Comics. This time around, Bleeding Cool is reporting that their sources are hearing that the event will simply be called Crisis and that it's spinning out of the events of Justice League: No Justice and Doomsday Clock.

Well, DC Comics co-publisher Jim Lee has taken to Twitter to squash that rumor and he was echoed by No Justice architect, Scott Snyder.

Still, it wouldn't be the first time that a rumor was seemingly debunked only for it to come to fruition later down the line. Perhaps the shift to $3.99 across the entire DC line was just the precursor for more significant changes at the publisher?

Things aren't quite bad enough for a reboot - carry on.

@BillyBatson1000 - That hasn't stopped them before. Flashpoint in the comics, Flashpoint in film. Neither of them were/are needed, but that's not going to stop them, even if it causes more problems than it solves. Hopefully they wait on Flashpoint in film, so they don't repeat the same mistakes they made with the comic.

@SisterSunday52 - I hope you're right. But the expression; 'left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing' seems to fit too well.

Yep, and thank God for that.
Still...i don't trust Didio...
But even he knows that erasing Rebirth would've been one HUGE mistake.

It’s DC, of course they are headed for a reboot, it’s just a matter of time. Easy prediction to make, eventually you’ll be right.

I don't think that's Jim's decision to make. I expect there will be serious consequences when they all find out that Dr Manhattan reinvented their reality after Flashpoint.

Considering the whole point of Rebirth was to fix the mistakes of New 52; the rumors of a reboot makes no sense

Side note: can’t wait for Scott Snyder’s Justice League to drop

These rumors are dumb. And if one of the big companies could use a reboot, it's Marvel.

@BootyPeep - They make more with their movies now then they do with comics. So rebooting their comics isn't a priority for them. Making the X-Men into a box office juggernaut after A4 will be their top priority.

@SonOfAGif - Marvel Studios and Marvel Comics are two different companies working independently from another. Kevin Feige and his team work on the movies, for the comics they have Tom Breevort and his (mostly incompetent) workers.
