AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 Trailer Reveals Some Spectacular New Artwork From The Upcoming Relaunch

2022 marks Spider-Man's 60th anniversary, and a new volume of Amazing Spider-Man begins next month. With acclaimed writer Zeb Wells teaming up with the legendary John Romita Jr., this might just be the biggest year for the iconic wall-crawler ever. However, the new era will start out with Peter on the outs with the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and even Aunt May.

For some reason, no one wants to see Spider-Man - except for Doctor Octopus. Ock's on Spider-Man's tail and the Master Planner has something truly terrible planned for when he gets his tentacles on Spidey. All that, and what does Tombstone have planned? We get a first hint at the action, drama, and heartbreak to come in a suspenseful new trailer, featuring never-before-seen artwork.

"Marvel has allowed me to get back to work on this amazing character, and work with another brilliant writer, Zeb Wells!" Romita Jr. says. "The stories are stunning and I am reading the scripts with a grin and wonderment...then wondering how the heck to do them justice!"

"I've waited my entire career to work with John Romita Jr.," Wells added. "To team up with him on Amazing Spider-Man for the character's 60th anniversary is so exciting words can't describe it. We're gonna have a blast!" If the artwork below is any indication, we can believe that, and it certainly appears as if Wells and Romita Jr. are looking to put Peter Parker through the wringer here.

What did Spider-Man do? We'll find out when Amazing Spider-Man #1 is released this April.

Stop rebooting just continue from series there does marvel know how many times that have tevooted spiderman and wolverine give them issues one continue from there with numbers gets annoying for some comic fans and for new comic fans they will not know which issues 25 your looking for in spiderman ?

Rebooting with a new number 1 everytime got really tiring as a long term comic fan. It's impossible to know which series comes before or after which when Amazing Spider-Man has 10+ different number 1s

@kingjoeg - it's impossible to know? You do realize the internet is useful for more things than just porn and sharing your opinions with us, right?

This trend of relaunching titles back at #1 is dumb and part of why people don't read comics anymore. Especially when the new "#1" is a continuation of a previous run or story.

Maybe if Comic companies want to reset the #1' all the time a new system should be developed? Like When you get to issue 900 and want to reset to #1 but continue elements of the previous major arcs/story it can be "Issue 1.01". Or something like that?
