Chris Evans Talks Playing 'Captain America' In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON; Excited For CIVIL WAR
With Avengers: Age of Ultron hitting theaters in less than a month, Chris Evans talks about how Captain America has made “some core progress” since his first appearance, and how in Avengers: Age of Ultron he still has some “good hurdles to jump.” Hit the jump to check it out!
While in an interview with PopSugar, Chris Evans explains how his character Captain America has evolved since the first film (Captain America: the First Avenger). “The first movie, you're terrified. The second one, you're intimidated, because there's so many great people.” Evans continues, “But by Captain America 2 is when you really start kind of hitting your stride and feeling like you're making some core progress with the character and you get a little more comfortable speaking up when you have opinions,"
He then tells how in Avengers: Age of Ultron it’s hard to focus on just Captain America’s side of the story, “So at this point, I'm feeling really good and like I said, it's hard to give too much individual attention to your own plotline in a movie like this [Avengers: Age of Ultron].” He then ends off by saying that his character still has many challenges ahead of him, and he’s excited for the next film in the Captain America franchise (Civil War). “They still give good hurdles to jump, but I'm very excited for Captain America 3.”
Captain America will next appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron as him and the Avengers will go to war against Ultron! After that he will next show up in Captain America: Civil War where he will battle with Tony Stark/Iron Man and team up with new heroes (Black Panther, etc.). The First Avengers has done some extraordinary things so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which moment is your favorite? Sound off below with your thoughts!
