Those covers are amazing. This is why I cry that Singer hasn't done the Xmen justice. People THIS is the Xmen. Not sure what Singer is putting out at the movies.

Ugh. Those first two covers with Wolverine totally tug at my nostalgic nerve.

Does the last cover with the original five does it remind anyone else of the original Voltron team minus the helmets anyone else?

I don't get why Cyclops is hiding from wolverine the two have been each other face like 30 times since AVX. If they were gonna throw down it should have been then. And cyke would have kicked his overhyped ass.

X-Factor (the original X-men, at the time) and the X-men faced off during Inferno. That's all I can recall, but I've been paying attention to the comics really sparsely in the last 20 years.

Send them home. Who cares about the 1963 X-teens when their adult selves are so much more compelling?

Kinda wish young Ice had a visible suit. Cause the rest of the cliq looks cool as hell

xstryker, they can't "go home"... Future Brotherhood already tried it. Doesn't work on them. They are home now.

Why is Emma flying on the New X-Men 2000s style cover?

beto, they have separate teams now... and kinda have fought each other

Tela, that is an arbitrary in-story explanation. As far as I'm concerned, put them in a box and drop them on the bottom of the ocean, they are superfluous and lame.

I dig the new uniforms. Battle of the Atom was damn good to me. Little more appreciation for Cyke for the first time in years.

Best x book out, and the best x book in the last couple of years. After being a x fan for all my life, and hating Scott just as long, I love this road they are taking old Scott on. Ever since house of m, Scott had been growing on me, to the point where I'm more interested in him than any other xman. Scott was right.

Those covers make me so happy, except for one gripe: Why is it Bishop on the cover with the blue team and not Blue Beast? everyone else is blue team except him. I will never get tired of watching Cyclops systematically defeat every other X-Man in a brawl.

I like Cyclops attitude and approach, but bringing the original X-Men back has always been a stupid idea to me. Though Battle of The Atom was good crossover I'll admit that.

Scott always wins, because he can push wolvie buttons. Everyone knows wolvie looses all skill when he goes into a rage. Only time I've seen him come close was in schism, and that was a draw.

Gotta say I really like those new costumes!

(That being said I would have preferred red for Cyclops and blue for Angel.)

Cyclops has lost his "bounce his beams off of anything and at any angle" ability. It was part of his mutant powers back in the day and is something I would love to be used again. Great ability as a leader and tactician. Especially with his powers being super amazing now.

@OldGreg Why dismiss decades of mythology with a re-boot? Changes of direction every so often yes, but a totally new continuity? Sorry - not for me. The linear story telling, with a few exceptions is all part of the charm for me.

Stupid concept for a book. Defies the concept of time travel. What are they going to do when they return to the past? Lose all memory of the future (cliche)? If they don't go back, the older versions should disappear. The Dark Phoenix event never happens.

Sometimes the persecuted mutant story lines grow old and are exaggerated.

@Liverpool4life

Generally in the Marvel universe the war time travel works is that events that happen in time create branches. So say someone went back in time and killed Hitler before WWII well that creates two histories a. Normal history Hitler lived and started WWII and b. Hitler is killed before WWII and it changes from there. Time traveling in the Marvel universe cause temporal anomalies that create the two timelines.
