Over the years, we've seen Spider-Man don all manner of costumes, many of which have become iconic. Whether it's the alien symbiote, the Iron Spider, or the many suits Peter Parker donned during the "Big Time" era, everyone has a favourite; the question is, will this one join them?
Well, in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man next year, the hero is getting another new look!
Designed by artist Dustin Weaver, this vibrant new look is unlike any the wall-crawler has worn before. You can check it out below on the artist's spectacular variant covers for March's Amazing Spider-Man #62 and April’s Amazing Spider-Man #63...it's certainly something new for the hero!
"This design was really a collaborative effort between Nick Spencer, Editor Nick Lowe, and I. They reined in the weirder and more techy features I was bringing and helped create something that I think is simple and both futuristic and classical," Weaver says in a press release shared by Marvel Comics. "I can't wait to see Patrick Gleason really bring it to life!"
Following the traumatic events of "Sin's Rising," Spider-Man will wear this new suit for his faceoff against Kingpin in the next arc of writer Nick Spencer’s hit run. It's said we'll discover the mystery behind this top-secret costume when Amazing Spider-Man #61 and Amazing Spider-Man #62 swing into comic book stores, and the usual apps, this March!
