It's no exaggeration to say that Stan Lee changed the lives of every single person on this website. Without him, ComicBookMovie.com probably wouldn't exist and we would all be very different people for having not grown up following the adventures of characters like Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, Hulk, the X-Men, and countless others.

I first met Stan back in 2012 when I got to shake the hand of "The Man" and thank him for everything he'd done. It was a moment I'll never forget and while it's fair to say that we're all mourning the loss of this living legend, you may take solace at the huge outpouring of love and support there's been for the comic book creator today.

Comic book companies, writers, artists, actors, directors, and studio bosses alike have come together to share their memories of Stan Lee and it's clear just how fondly he will be remembered.

As you might expect, there are an awful lot of Tweets and Instagram posts, so we've spread them out for you to check out below (the full list can be seen by clicking the "View List" button but feel free to head straight to the comments section to share your tributes and find the original news story here).

The world won't be the same without Stan Lee but it's great to see just how loved he was. RIP.

R.I.P. Stan Lee. We have lost a Titan of Creativity and Industry. These are my last photos with Stan, taken in August at his home by Jon Bollerjack. I was summoned by “The Man”, he wanted a friendly face, a change of pace. I was up the next day. He was peaceful and comfortable and in great spirits. He sat in his favorite chair overlooking his pool and the beautiful canyons. I thanked him for being a visionary, not just creatively, but being a visionary in bringing Marvel to Hollywood, knowing how well they would be served by tv and film. Kids of the 1970’s, kids my age grew up with The Hulk tv show, live action Spider Man TV movies, Dr. Strange film on CBS. It was an exciting time and it was a result of Stan’s decision to travel west and present the Marvel characters to Hollywood. He started the Marvel Age Of Comics as well as the Marvel Age Of Film that we enjoy today. I have many stories from my history and travels with Stan. We never had a better Ambassador. And we won’t ever see another like him. All I know is the Good Lord has pulled up a chair and Stan is currently bending all the ears in the heaven’s with his amazing tales and lore. They are hanging on his every word and sentence. #stanlee #marvel #hulk #fantasticfour #xmen #spiderman #thor #excelsior

Chris Evans pretty much said it best: "There will never be another Stan Lee. For decades he provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy. He exuded love and kindness and will leave an indelible mark on so, so, so many lives. Excelsior!!"

Excelsior forever Stan the Man. You will be missed but never forgotten.

@L0RDbuckethead - I joined the military in 1990 because I wanted to be some kind of hero and wanted to protect my country... all from reading his comics...28 years and six medals later I came home a hero from the Gulf War...my father was a soldier also and he gave me the heart to serve and Stan kind of gave me the courage because I read comics everyday in that Saudi desert...R.I.P my friend!!!

@L0RDbuckethead - That got me thinking. I think that means that Spider-Man far from home will be his last cameo. That or Avengers 4. Both of them are perfectly fitting, but it'll be [frick]ing depressing when we know we've seen his last cameo.

L0RDbuckethead - 11/12/2018, 1:24 PM
@Mrcool210 - Feige said awhile back that Stan had filmed 4 cameos back-to-back in one day. This was around the time that Infinity War was being shot.

"We do not shoot random ones. They're always very specific," Feige said during the Q&A. "A couple of months ago in Atlanta, he flew down and we shot four in one day — for four various projects."

So I think it's safe to say the four he was referring to was:

Ant-Man and the Wasp (we already know he's in it)
Captain Marvel
Avengers 4
Spider-Man: Far From Home

Past that though, we have no idea. But yeah, I agree that his last cameo being in FFH would be very fitting. I hope Feige and Co. decide to wrap up his "in-universe" story somehow, finally connecting all of these cameos we've seen through the years.

@Webheaded225 - we wouldn't have marvel comics if it wasn't for her... she inspired him to go bold when he was at his lowest and tell the stories we know and love today.

RDJ's message is my favourite but Hamill's gave me chills. Damn.

Face front true believers.

Probably one of Stan Lee's best cameo's ever was in the 90's Spider-Man show. Spidey literally went to another universe and met Stan Lee. Chatted with him and everything. Completely obliterating the fourth wall in fashion.

The man was a legend. Condolences to his family.

And geez, his Avengers 4 cameo will be gut wrenching to watch.
