SPOILERS: A Beloved Anti-Hero Shockingly Hails Hydra In Today's SECRET EMPIRE #3

The third issue of Secret Empire shed a little light on the second Steve Rogers running around out in the wild, but the biggest reveal once again came at the end of the issue. That saw the return of Frank Castle/The Punisher as he declared his allegiance to Hydra with a new and improved skull symbol on his chest which makes it clear that he's more than happy to take out criminals for the organisation.

What this means for the series as a whole remains to be seen, but it probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that Frank would be loyal to Captain America after siding with him during Civil War!

Despite technically being five issues into the event (if you count the FCBD and #0 issues), it's still not entirely clear what direction Secret Empire is heading in, but it's definitely pretty intriguing. How do you guys feel about The Punisher declaring his allegiance to Hydra? Share your thoughts down below.

@ALostCause - Not everything Marvel is publishing is bad. I'd say 60% of my pull list is Image, Vertigo and Dark Horse, 30% DC and only 10% Marvel, but those 10% have been very good these past couple years. I'm specifically talking about Vision, maybe the best series Marvel has published in years, at least the beginning, Moon Knight, Daredevil, and Black Widow (the red room saga). I hear Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is really good, and so is Doctor Strange, Squirrel Girl, Black Panther and Karnak. Haven't tried them yet.

Marvel has always been good for putting everything they have behind the characters they're promoting in their movies, so it's not surprising their best comics are also the same characters we've been force-fed in every media for the past 5 years. It's not a practice that interests me because I'm really tired of seeing the same characters everywhere, but I think it's working for them. Ish.

"Boring" is a far more apt description than "shocking".
