THIS WEEK THE REVIEW CONTAINS A FEW MORE BOOKS THAN USUAL...WITH SOME BOOKS REVIEWED FROM EARLIER THIS MONTH...ENJOY!!! They are short and quick to the point...some however are considered elementally key towards flagship events...and are reviewed a bit more in depth...but feel free to jump in and comment...and we'd get in depth as much as you want...as if twere kate beckinsale's hoo-ha :)
siege 3 - epic...amazing coipel on the art...fast paced action...and we saw our trinity coming together...but thor vs sentry stole the show...and what is the sentry? i have no clue but the last page rocked...what was up with normie's face though? lol... coipel's art was amazing...as usual...and bendis did well in maintaining proper dialogue by the proper folk when needed...his sentry line 'do i have to kill another god today?' is frikkin epic...he made the sentry into a total demon in this...kudos to him...but when sentry felled the city, i thought thor should have done more than gape in awe...the thor vs sentry was off the hook as a powerful battle...immense! the stark return was kickass, steve and bucky and fury all had proper panels...and WTF is up with that gobbie face? it's scary but uncalled for..WTF...and spidey with the fist? that was so cliche!!!
as for sucky, it was sucky to not get more of bullseye vs ronin...you'd think we'd have clint kickin his ass...
i wish this was a double size issue or we had another siege to view....cuz tou much action makes me yearn for more:) the last page was killer as it shows its gonna be everyone vs void in siege 4...
as for the secret weapon, it is crappy...the void is a perfect secret weapon but honestly, not now...not for norman cuz how did normie use this entity so early in the 1st cabal meeting? cuz that was right after normie took over so that meant he almost immediately controlled the void? that is BS...also, what of the shadowy figure that tormented ozz in civil war? was that his mind goblin?...ummm...answers please bendis!! or millar!!!
the void is scary but you'd think after 2 asskickins by emma frost, esp recently in the xmen crossover, the void wouldnt be up for this match...
i thought beyonder would be the weapon cuz it seems like beyonder to fashion a world run by baddies, and bendis luvs him as he showed in his illuminati special...but odin made a lot of sense as i could have seen the real master behind dark reign...loki...as the guy who somehow slithered to civil war, escaping from ragnarok slumber by some deft means, and goading normie...using his norn stones to power hood, heloing the dark reign rise, wreaking havoc and exiling thor, and somehow find a way to slither into odin's afterlife...use sentry/black magic/norn stones...to trap robert reynolds as the battler for surtur, whilst stealing odin and braining him into being norman's puppet...
that would have tied together and explained everything...about ozzie and loki taking their respective realms by the scruff...and how sick would it be to have odin unleashed on a falling asgard...and against his people...imagine thor battling sentry and then odin arises dark and gritty? jizzzz i say!!
also, i swore the void was a throw off to odin:(
sucks that siege 3 had no loki also...
i anticipate balder and ms marvel dying soon!!!
ps - doom would show no fear to void...he shows nothing of fear to things he has never seen...doom would not flinch as he does not know void...he'd quicker flinch at thor, loki, odin...or beyonder...so bendis mucked up by having doom show flinching at the sight of void...never would victor do that
DARK AVENGERS 15 - Again this didnt seem to go anywhere except act as filler till bullseye killed someone...bullseye's lies and acting repentant was spot on...and i enjoyed the issue but the void's depiction is weak as hell...not amazing like coipel's siege...and why is this depiction diff in diff books? should void not look the same? i rather coipel's than deodato's venom ripoff...but ummm...is void really the secret weapon?...that is so lame BUT...deodato's art is amazing...he makes sentry look like frickin god!!!

this book helps show why sentry tripped bonkers on ares...but as a sentry origins and tie-in...bendis failed with this book...im more confused with sentry's junkie/angel of death deal...bendis mucked his origins even further...but the bullseye/lindy buildup was worth it...with an amazing sequence...and lovely dialogue...and void going apeshit was wicked..esp to see bullseye/oz lie and duck for cover...while smiling at the end...awesome...
brubaker and deodato on secret avengers scream of nothing but joy!!!!
green lantern corps 37 - fun read. nice art and lotsa plotting and action...i loved the leg loss scene and the kyle ex in the fridge was funny...as was kilowogg but overall...this was all guy gardner...he rocked...they still need to expand on the anti monitor and his imprisonment in the black battery by nekron...but what impressed me was the fact that female dove came and kicked ass...i was waiting for her in BN 7...well onto BN 8 i guess :)
hercules: fall of an avenger - lame imo...cept for the sex stories...the art is not cool by me...the faces are long and uggo...and olvetti's ladies are sooo similar in face it is moot...hera, zeus and herc dead? cho as new olympus leader? athena not working an angle? can someone say ummm....gods are gonna reborn soon!!! hells, herc and ares getting killed? ironic...but id rather ares...lost interest in herc since dark reign started...plus he was lame in mighty avengers
green arrow 31 - after roy's kid died in CFJ, and roy got maimed...well GA killed prometheus with the aid of shade...and it was shocking he killed him so easily...after all promo kicked the JLAs ass in CFJ like they were babies...well now hal and barry are trying to talk sense into ollie...as his wife is also...but i like that arrow is gonna go for blood...mia too...maybe hal might not have an impact but with barry bitching also...and arsenal coming...i think dick grayson batman need come and kick ollie's ass...i hope ollie kills more villains :)
hulk 21 - too much red hulk talking...no step closer to his ID...and did i say there were too many hulks? well it got shittier:( ps rulk may not be talbot after all
incred hulk - 608...nice art but again..the wwhulks plot aint that interesting to me...need some dying hulks now!
batman 697 - decent but the black mask reveal i saw a while back...no surprise...but the catgirl cameo was crap...overall a good read..mad big up to tony daniel for writing and his wicked art:0
red robin 10 - tie in with the last issue of batgirl...both books are nice smooth reads..nothing extraordinary but the art is awesome...and the flash preview boasts enigmatic art and amazing manapul drawings...geoff johns should rock this
superman last stand of new krypton - picked up nicely...nice appearances by all the superman family...good read..nice end page
xmen legacy 234 - sweet cover, sweet art...lame plot...shows that rogue may well be the next x-leader
wolverine origins 45 - the art was good but damn was this a crap script...we got nowhere and are at the same point at the start of the issue...and it had little romulus?? wtf
siege embedded 3 - not bad...loved the urich factor...as usual...nice script and decent art...last page was no surprise but lovely indeed
DOOMWAR 2 - wow...scott eaton's art with this fast action paced book...is rocking...well done mayberry
spider woman 7 - the last issue...well nothing exciting of this series..just bendis jerking off to jess drew...maleev's dark art fits daredevil but not jess....she'll be in avengers so yay? this book is seemingly right after her return from skrull jail...but i tell u, i wont miss it...it was average...and in this issue...what were the skrull's powers? i cudnt recognize anything in their fight
supergirl 51 - this was dc's most consistent book of 2009 and it is continuing so...sterling gates is writing amazingly and with 2010 pegged as a big year for supergirl, this crossover is what i need to delve into war of the supermen...well done dc...lovely work
nova 35 - surprised me as a good read...didnt like this arc as much as the others..but the end was cool...and happy..namorita back? hmmm...time paradox much? but onto bigger things..thanos imeprative...he is returning to marvel after his annihilation death...cant wait for him and magus to go at it
cap america 1- brubaker is epic...epting's art is amazing...they were meant for this book...and this issue was a brilliant one...the end rocked..the reveals that came later on showed why im looking fwd to more bru on cap...and secret avengers
iron man 1 - fraction made me warm to larocca's art with his fast paced plot...and zeke stane was on par as a villain...made tony cringe...and i liked that
iron man vs whiplash 4 - the teamup sucked but a nice arc overall...nothing special but still an okay read
guardians of the galaxy 24 - the art is a step down i found from the usual...but damn fine story telling by DnA...and the last page...imperative...guess who's back? sweet as hell!!!:)
shield sketchbook - by hickman and art by weaver...omg...this writer is goin places..love his secret warriors...and this preview is amazing
amazing spider man 623-625 - not bad...the vulture arc was amazing but the rhino arc was so repetitive and badly done with crappy art:(...wish this tied into siege of asgard
wolverine - mr x 1 - decent...cool art...nice fights..reminded me of a jason aaron book...with a fit ending that makes so much sense
