"Hey! Look who's here, my son!-CLASSIC

This video is worth it alone, just to hear the 'charismatic' London accent giving play-by-play like it's a National Geographic Special! If that doesn't make you laugh or if you happen to be European, then skip to the 07:05 mark to hear an off-screen roar that let's everyone know that Stan's arrived. Oh you're talking to Jamal Igle? STAN LEE DON'T CARE!

Stan Lee (born December 28, 1922) is an American comic book writer, editor, actor, producer, publisher, television personality, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.

In collaboration with several artists, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Hulk, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, and many other fictional characters, introducing complex, naturalistic characters and a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books. In addition, he headed the first major successful challenge to the industry's censorship organization, the Comics Code Authority, and forced it to reform its policies. Lee subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation.

He was inducted into the comic book industry's Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995.

marvel72: Cost me £150 for a CGC 6.0 graded copy - took it out of the casing it get it signed though! I gave my buddy a copy of that recent one-shot Stan did with Marcos Martin to get signed (as he's not a regular reader) and he was more impressed with that! Said something like, "Haha, I remember this one!" He's just an amazing character.

Notice he didn't shake the DC cosplayer's hands!

DC doesn't have a 'god-father' of comics like Marvel!

I've actually just got back home from attending both days of this Con. My first proper Con experience too! Stan was amazing - for a man his age, he was incredibly sharp, witty and just all-round legendary when doing his panels. His enthusiasm for his fans is just infectious and you couldn't help but smile whenever he spoke. You can also tell he's a natural and true storyteller! It was just a dream to have got a photo AND signature from him.

In general, the Con was a great first experience. Definitely need to be patient for all the queueing haha! I spoke to Ian Churchill who's just such a friendly guy and took time out sketching to talk to me. Spoke to Jim Cheung and spoke to Kieron Gillen about Uncanny X-Men which was amazeballs!

RADIATE!

@ sarahsatire

yeah said he loves all the characters but his favorite was out of spider-man & the silver surfer he said that the surfer was like the jesus christ of the marvel universe,he asked what mine was at the time it was wolverine.

@marvel72 I believe it (him being a great man) and he does indeed look amazing for his age. He's such a spirited/youthful person, i'm not surprised. Even so, I gotta act sooner rather than later. Don't you go anywhere Stan Lee!

You guys are so lucky. I would love to meet Stan Lee someday.

He seems like an amazing guy.

@marvel72 That's pretty awesome. I probably couldn't think of a good question like that if that had been me.

And I assume you haven't washed your hand since then. ;P

@ mgeoff88

when you're waiting four hours in line to see him,its not to hard to think up a question to ask.

he's probably been asked that question a million times,so while shaking his hand i just thank him for creating marvel & being the main reason i'm into comics & slipped in the question.

& nope i haven't washed my hand. :D
