Hello and I'm John Jones aka The Comic Critic,

I further more planned to release a new editorial video but YouTube has been giving me troubles in terms of the length of the video. So I am writing a new editorial similiar to the previous articles focusing on The Hulk,Iron Man, and other future possible stories. With that on mind Daredevil has just been handed back to Marvel. With a reboot in talks all over the news we wonder what direction should Daredevil go this time. He has many great stories and is one of the better written Marvel comics character because of how complex he is. But right now I am here to describe an original story I have in mind that would work perfectly for the upcoming Daredevil reboot, "Daredevil: Days of Suffering".

The Daredevil story I had in mind was based on a few horror films I have recently watched. Matt Murdock has yet to find the one thing he wants the most in life, Justice. He is now a down and out lawyer on the verge of losing his career. In the middle of that he has given up being Daredevil which has not worked for him at all. In one day he would find himself on the verge of death, in the next day he would find New York to be a post apocalyptic wasteland. War is breaking about by a group of scientist that call themselves The Sickness and are radicals looking to spread a deadly disease among New York. Among the scientist are their deadly experimental monsters and zombie like humans wrecking chaos. With New York in a war zone full of riots and violent outrage, it's time for Matt Murdock to put on the costume once again and bring the criminals responsible for this attack to the justice system. But the clock is ticking because they have a deadly bomb on their side when once activated releases toxin in the air that turns everyone else into zombies/the undead. It could also mean potentially the end of the world as we know it.

I know mixing a plot that involves zombies and Daredevil sounds crazy but it sounds extremely awesome. Think about Marvel Zombies, that was a good concept too. It will utilize Daredevil in not just a heroic manner but in a dectective fashion similiar to Batman and Sherlock Holmes combined. It would make for a great stylized action sequences potentially with Daredevil vs Zombies too. The direction could be the Nolan Dark Knight Route but mix with a little horror movie formula and you have an interesting new take on our hero. For other villains Kingpin could potentially be the one funding this whole secret scientific operation to gain vengeance against the world.

Another thing could be in the story Daredevil is suffering from constant memory loss as he suffered serious trauma from a deadly incident and has a difficult time now remembering things that are important to him. A Warzoned New York,Zombies/Monsters, and Daredevil is packing one great combination and a new winning story. I would recommend actor Timothy Olyphant to play Matt Murdock/Daredevil himself and Sam Neill as The Kingpin. Paul Walker and John Cena would play some of the Kingpin's henchmen and possibly Tobey Maguire in the role as one of the evil scientist. These are great actors I would reccomend for this powerhouse story.

If you have any opinions or suggestions or comments please comment below and I will try to read and reply to them thank you.

I want a good Daredevil film. One that's true to the character. Your idea is probably something Hollywood would do back in the 80s or 90s when they're rewriting comic book character like crazy for film. The idea of making Matt Murdock like Guy Pearce in Momento would be interesting — but of course, I want a true interpretation to the haracter first and foremost with the future reboot.

This whole zombie/monster war in New York would be a cool standalone Marvel Studios project, I admit. Punisher and DD are part of a resistance — while NY has been cut off from the world. Would be a cool film. Punisher would go crazy killing them, audiences would like that. But not really right for the characters. We need true adaptations right. These ideas can be used later when they run out of stories to tell.

Good editorial John "Jacky Timish UnknownHeroX Comic Critic" Jones.

Correction:

"when they were rewriting/reintepreting comic book properties (mostly to fit in with the budget and technology restrictions) like crazy back in the 80s/90s".

First off, No.

Secondly, TDK route? Are you serious? There are many different ways that DD can be made without the TDK route.

And Lastly, your credibility went out the window when you decided to mention John Cena.

@Joker

Cant you stop bashing Comic Critic. I may not agree with some of his opinions but doesn't very one have the right to their own opinion? How would you feel if your editorials were mocked and you were called names? Im not saying that we can't state our opinion. I may not agree with some of this guys ideas but shouldn't we be a bit nicer towards him?
